This is NewZealand is a documentary film showcasing NewZealand scenery that was produced by the NewZealand National Film Unit for screening at the Expo 70 World Expo in Osaka in 1970. The film combined scenic images including aerial cinematography with rousing classical music such as Sibelius Karelia Suite . Using then ground breaking technology, the film required three separate but synchronised 35mm film projectors which projected their images onto an extra wide screen. In 2004 2005 Archives NewZealand commissioned a restoration at post production facility, Park Road Post . Hugh McDonald, the original director, was involved in the restoration and Kit Rollings, the original sound mixer assisted with the updated soundtrack. It is located on the Clutha River six kilometres southeast of Raes Junction , between Roxburgh, NewZealand Roxburgh and Balclutha, NewZealand Balclutha . Beaumont is connected to Milton, NewZealand Milton and Roxburgh by NewZealand State Highway network State Highway 8 . Beaumont was named for Beaumont Burn stream Burn , probably about 1857. For eleven years, Beaumont served as the terminus of a branch line railway that ran from a junction with the Main South Line in Milton, NewZealand Milton . The railway reached Beaumont in 1914 and an extension to Millers Flat, NewZealand Millers Flat was not opened until 1925. This line ultimately became the Roxburgh Branch and operated until 1968. Relics of the railway still remain, including a stock yard and a bridge over the Beaumont River.
