History The club was established in 1976 as Wicor Mill F.C. playing in local leagues. They joined the Hampshire League in 1998 after having a number of previous applications rejected. In 1999, they changed their name to their present name and immediately gained promotion to Division One, following this up with the Division One championship in the 2001 02 season. In 2002 AFC Portchester joined with three local youth football clubs, Castle Royals, Portchester Royals, and Kia Royals, enabling them to significantly incorporate a youth set up. The club is now one of the largest clubs in Hampshire, boasting a soccer school, 11 mini soccer teams, 13 eleven a side youth teams, 2 under 18 youth teams, and 3 mens teams 2 in Wessex League and 1 in Portsmouth Dockyard Sunday League .
