  1. ANSI C12.19

ANSI C12.19 is the American National Standard for Utility Industry End Device Data Tables This standard defines a table structure for utility application data to be passed between an end device and a computer. The end device is typically an electricity meter, and the computer is typically a hand held device carried by a meter reader, or a meter communication module which is part of an Automatic Meter Reading system. C12.19 does not define end device design criteria nor specify the language or protocol used to transport that data. There are however related ANSI standards which do specify the transportation of these tables. ANSI C12.18 describes the communication of C12.19 tables over an optical port. ANSI C12.21 describes the communication of C12.19 tables over a modem. ANSI C12.22 describes the communication of C12.19 tables over a network. The purpose of the tables is to define structures for transporting data to and from end devices. A related standard, IEC 61968 defines a CIM information model for energy data. History The structures were originally known as the Tucker Tables after Richard Tucker. The tables were developed under the auspices of the American National Standards Institute, C12, SC17, WG2. The standard is sponsored by NEMA, and also published as MC1219 and IEEE P1377. Popularity of the tables has grown over the years such that all electric meter vendors in North America now support and use the tables in their products. The committee working group 2 is currently chaired by Avygdor Moise and released a revision of the standard in 2008. 1. ANSI/ISA-95

Manufacturing ANSI ISA 95 , or ISA 95 as it is more commonly referred, is an international standard for developing an automated interface between enterprise and control systems. This standard has been developed for global manufacturers. It was developed to be applied in all industries, and in all sorts of processes, like batch processes, continuous and repetitive processes. The objectives of ISA 95 are to provide consistent terminology that is a foundation for supplier and manufacturer communications, provide consistent information models, and to provide consistent operations models which is a foundation for clarifying application functionality and how information is to be used. There are 5 parts of the ISA 95 standard. ANSI ISA 95.00.01 2000, Enterprise Control System Integration Part 1 Models and Terminology consists of standard terminology and object models, which can be used to decide which information should be exchanged. The models help define boundaries between the enterprise systems and the control systems. They help address questions like which tasks can be executed by which function and what information must be exchanged between applications. 1. Aswad Ansi

One source date August 2008 Aswad Ansi lang ar , better known as Abhala son of Kaab lang ar , was a prophet claimant who claimed prophet hood in Yemen towards the end of the prophet Muhammad s lifetime, around 630 AD. He claimed to receive divine inspiration in the form of words and is recorded to have recited them to his people. He was known to be a Fortune telling soothsayer and a sorcerer who had a passion for consumption of alcohol . He had an ability to dazzle a crowd with tricks, according to traditional accounts he had a donkey whom he had trained to kneel before him, he would tell the donkey, in front of a large crowd Kneel before your lord and it would kneel, and then he would say to it Bow before your lord and it would bow. He eventually managed to convince the people of Yemen that he was a prophet. History He went on to invade Najran and most of the Yemen. After his invasion of Yemen he changed his title from Prophet of God to Rahman The Most Merciful , which is one of the Names of God in Islam 99 names of Allah . He thus claimed to be God . His rule of the Yemen was short lived as Muhammad later sent Fairouz ad Delami to assassinate him under the supervision and planning of Qais bin Hubaira . According to al Baladhuri, after Fairouz assassinated the would be prophet he climbed to the top of the palace wall carrying the severed head and shouted, Takbir Allahu Akhbar God is greater Then he proclaimed the shahadah , denounced Aswad as a false prophet and an enemy of Allah, and threw the severed head down at a small group of men who had gathered below, before escaping to Medina . refimprove date November 2008 Image ANSI size illustration.svg thumb right A size chart illustrating the ANSI sizes. In 1995, the American National Standards Institute adopted ANSI ASME Y14.1 which defined a regular series of paper sizes based upon the de facto standard 8   in    11  in letter size which it assigned ANSI A . This series also includes ledger tabloid as ANSI B . This series is somewhat similar to the ISO 216 standard in that cutting a sheet in half would produce two sheets of the next smaller size. Unlike the ISO standard, however, the arbitrary aspect ratio forces this series to have two alternating aspect ratios. The ANSI series is shown below. With care, documents can be prepared so that the text and images fit on either ANSI or their equivalent ISO sheets at 1 1 reproduction scale. class wikitable Name in in mm mm Ratio Alias Similar ISO A size ANSI A 8 11 216 279 22 17 1.2941 Letter A4 ANSI B 17 11 BR 11 17 432 279 BR 279 432 17 11 1.5455 Ledger ref Adobe Systems Incorporated February 9, 1996 , PostScript Printer Description File Format Specification 4.3 ed. , San Jose, California, p. 191, http partners.adobe.com public developer en ps 5003.PPD Spec v4.3.pdf. DSL technologies ANSI T1.413 is a technical standard that defines the requirements for the single asymmetric digital subscriber line ADSL for the interface between the telecommunications network and the customer installation in terms of their interaction and electrical characteristics. ADSL allows the provision of voiceband services including plain old telephone service POTS and data services up to 56  kbit s , and a variety of digital channels. In the direction from the network to the customer premises downstream networking downstream , the digital bearer channel s may consist of duplex telecommunications full duplex low speed bearer channels and simpler high speed bearer channels in the other upstream networking upstream direction, only low speed bearer channels are provided. Description The American National Standards Institute ANSI Telecommunications Committee created the first standardized ADSL specifications. They were published as ANSI T1.413 1995 and ANSI T1.413 1998 sometimes called issue 2 titled Network and Customer Installation Interfaces Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line ADSL Metallic Interface. It defines the minimum requirements for satisfactory performance of ADSL systems using the Discrete Multitone Modulation Discrete Multi Tone DMT line code. DMT divides the useful bandwidth of the standard two wire copper medium used in the public switched telephone network PSTN , which is 0 to 1104  kHz, into 256 separate 4.3125  kHz wide freqncy bands called sub carriers. Up to 254 sub carriers are used downstream each of these 254 sub carriers can support the modulation of 0 to 15 bits per baud. The baud rate is 4,000 symbols per second on each subcarrier. Thus the maximum theoretical downstream data rate of an ADSL system is 15.24 Mbit s 254 15 4000 . However ... is the downstream band.
