It is situated between the towns of Pagbilao , Padre Burgos, Quezon Padre Burgos and Atimonan , in the province of Quezon . The park covers the western end of the isthmus of Luzon at southeastern Luzon Luzon Island , located southeast of Metro Manila . Features Quezon National Forest Park is situated in the Sierra Madre Philippines Sierra Madre mountain range. Hundreds of flora and fauna species have been discovered here, some endemism endemic to the region or the Philippines. In the forest, in April 2010, the Varanus bitatawa Northern Sierra Madre Forest monitor lizard Varanus bitatawa Spanish common name Butikaw was described to science, although the Aeta and Ilongot people Ilongot indigenous peoples have known and used it as a food source.
