It was one of the most prestigious literary prizes of 20th century Hungary , along with the Attila J zsef Prize and the Kossuth Prize . In accordance with the founder s will, it was given to Hungarian authors with serious endeavour whether in literature or in science who are exempt of any religious, racial or social prejudices and serve only ideal aims, thus making no compromise for personal advantages, are in need of financial means. He studied at university of Kiel Kiel University 1832 , and became professor ordinarius of theology at university of Rostock Rostock 1850 . A liberal scholar, he became widely known in 1854 through a work, Die Nachtgesichte Sacharjas. Eine Prophetenstimme aus der Gegenwart , in which, starting from texts in the Old Testament and assuming the tone of a prophet , he discussed topics of every kind. At a pastoral conference in 1856 he boldly defended evangelical freedom as regards the legal sanctity of Sunday. This, with other attempts to liberalize religion, brought him into conflict with the ecclesiastical authorities of Mecklenburg , and in 1858 he was deprived of his professorship. He then travelled throughout Germany, demanding justice, telling the story of his life Christliche Selbstgesprache , 1861 , and lecturing on the life of Jesus Die Geschichte Jesu. He was a brother to philosopher Alexander Gottlieb Baumgarten . He studied theology at the University of Halle , where in 1730 he became an associate professor, and in 1734 a full professor of theology. In 1728 the 22 years old Baumgarten, a Hallensian Pietist and bibliophile , was appointed as minister of the Marktkirche Unser Lieben Frauen Market Church . In 1734 he became professor in theology and in 1748 rector of the Halle University. He studied medicine at the Berlin University , receiving his M.D. in 1835. Two years before his graduation he wrote Die Influenza oder Grippe, nach den Quellen Historisch Pathologisch Dargestellt Minden, 1837 , receiving for this essay a prize from the faculty of his alma mater. He had the distinction of being the first physician to describe influenza . After finishing his studies, Gluge went to Paris in 1836 to take a postgraduate course. In 1838, upon the recommendation of Alexander von Humboldt and of Arago, he was appointed professor of physiology at the University of Brussels , and he held this position until 1873, being also for many years physician to the King of Belgium. In 1846 he became a Naturalization naturalized Belgian citizen, and after resigning his professorship in 1873 he resided at Brussels, though he spent much time in traveling. He was a member of the The Royal Academies for Science and the Arts of Belgium , which till this day give a biannual prize in his honor, in the field of physiology. Gluge was one of the first physicians who examined microscopically the diseased tissues of the body, in this way seeking to gain knowledge of the primary causes of maladies, and thus to ascertain the correct course of treatment. He discovered a curious parasite in the stickleback , to which the name Glugea microspora has been given. He contributed to the leading medical journals of Germany, France, and Belgium.     Gottlieb Theophil Muffat 1690 1770 was an German composer organist and son of Georg Muffat . He studied with Johann Fux in Vienna from 1711 onward and was appointed court organist in 1717. He assisted in the performance of Fux s opera Costanza e fortezza in Prague . His students included several young members of the royal family, among them the future empress Maria Theresia he was promoted to second organist in 1729 and first organist in 1741 and apparently stopped composing music after this final promotion.
