    Arriflex 416 is a movie camera product line created by Arri in 2006. This 416 camera series is designed for 16 mm film 16mm filmmaking in the Super16 format. The 416 series has some features that are derived from Arri s other 35 mm film 35mm cameras. Built around the spinning mirror reflex shutter designed by Erich K stner camera designer Erich K stner , Chief Engineer for Arnold & Richter Cine Technik ARRI , Arri Arri Group . It allows the operator to have a viewfinder image equal to the recorded picture. Used extensively in motion pictures, a staple of production, ignited and unleashed film makers from large studio cameras allowing for location filming and unique camera movement. Widely used in 200  ft loading as a battlefield camera in WWII for collecting battle front intelligence, e.g. for analysing weapons effectiveness , for training films and for potential use in propaganda cinema films. The camera utilizes a three turret bayonet lens mount, and is capable of frame rates up to 90 frames per second. Film magazines for 200 or 400 foot loads. The DC motor mounts down and used as a hand grip. Later were developed flat base mount AC motors allowing the camera to have a lower profile, center of gravity where the motor mounted on the side of the camera body vertical or horizontal on the various bases, giving the camera better operating balance while used on tripod pan heads and a more compact profile for blimping .     Unreferenced date December 2009 Arri bayonet is a lens mount developed by Arri for use with both 16 mm and 35 mm movie camera lenses. Lenses of this type are distinguished by outer wings which both control aperture and bayonet alignment, and are placed in the mount while two pressure tabs are simultaneously depressed at the side of the lens mount on the camera. These tabs provide a relatively strong locking mechanism which allows for higher quality lens seating than offered by the Arri standard mount. Debuting in 1965 with the 16BL, the Arri bayonet mount superseded the Arri standard mount, but cameras with the bayonet mount were also able to accommodate Arri standard lenses due to both mounts having the same flange focal distance and diameter. However, cameras with Arri standard mounts were unable to fit lenses with Arri bayonet mounts, due to the locking mechanism. The bayonet mount began to be superseded around 1980 by the Arri PL mount, which has since become an overwhelmingly predominant mount for most modern cameras, along with Panavision and their PV mount . He was born in Tehran in 1933, and is the brother of filmmaker Esmail Koushan . He was the first Iranian filmmaker who went to Italy and Germany for technical training at Cinecitt Studios, Agfa Laboratories and Arriflex Cameras. He worked as a Lab Technician, Sound Recordist, Editor, Assistant Camera and Gaffer before he shot his first film, Amir Arsalan , as cinematographer in 1955. He directed his first film, Nouveau Riche in 1961 and was the first to shoot Iranian CinemaScope & color feature films. Broken Spell film Broken Spell 1958 was recognized at the 9th Berlin International Film Festival Berlin Film Festival for his color cinematography.
