Artfabrication is a process or service relating to the production of large or technically difficult artworks. When a lone artist or designer is incapable or chooses not to realize the creation of his or her own design or conception, he or she may enlist the assistance of an artfabrication studio. Typically, an artfabrication studio has access to the resources, specialized machinery, and labor necessary to execute particularly complex projects. Artfabrication should not be confused with the term fabricated sculpture which refers to a sculpture usually metal whose component parts are shaped usually through bending , and then assembled by way of fasteners or welds as opposed to a sculpture created through casting . Mike Smith is a notable art fabricator who has worked on behalf of Damien Hirst , Rachel Whiteread , Jake and Dinos Chapman , Gavin Turk and Michael Landy . Wafer fabrication is a procedure composed of many repeated sequential processes to produce complete electric circuit electrical or photonics photonic electrical network circuits . Examples include production of radio frequency Radio frequency RF amplifiers, LED s, optical computer components, and central processing unit CPU s for computer s. Wafer fabrication is used to build components with the necessary electrical structures. The main process begins with electrical engineer s designing the circuit and defining its functions, and specifying the signals, inputs, outputs and voltage s needed. These electrical circuit specifications are entered into electrical circuit design software, such as SPICE , and then imported into circuit layout programs, which are similar to ones used for computer aided design . This is necessary for the layers to be defined for wafer mask production. The resolution of the circuits increases rapidly with each step in design, as the scale of the circuits at the start of the design process is already being measured in fractions of micrometers. Nasiri Fabrication Process The Nasiri Fabrication Process , patented by InvenSense , uses a wafer to wafer bonding process that allows for direct integration of the fabricated MEMS wafers to any off the shelf CMOS wafer at the wafer level. Although the wafer bonding process uses off the shelf wafer bonding equipment, the bonding process itself is proprietary and patented by InvenSense and allows for a eutectic bonding of the MEMS wafers directly to the aluminum layer on the CMOS wafer without the addition of other material layers on top of the aluminum. This process leads to smaller package footprints and package heights. In one bonding step, Nasiri Fabrication provides for wafer scale integration by making electrical interconnects between the MEMS and CMOS , and wafer scale packaging by simultaneously providing a fully hermetic seal of the MEMS structures. The seal does not require the use of frit glass or getters and provides a reliable and controlled vacuum level over the full life of the product. Multiple issues unreferenced July 2011 cleanup October 2007 orphan February 2009 Application Fabrication refers to the process where computer applications are built by searching, matching, customizing, morphing, gluing, and hosting existing applications together. We have seen generations and generations of operating systems out there, that we keep upgrading our computers with, but we seldom directly use these operating systems. What we need is computer applications that really help in our personal information management, business processes, etc. In the open source era, where you can easily find hundreds of say content management systems, or customer relation management system, or human resource systems, we can either use them alone, or can glue them together via SOAP, XML, or other glueware, to fabricate new applications. In the eighties, we call that system integration, and now with the advances of technologies, multicore CPUs, open source foundries, virtual machine technologies, a proliferation of glueware technologies and standards, that we can actually fabricate more and more applications based on an evolving layers of existing applications and the new apps can then feed back into the ecosystem for recycling. There is earlier citation for Business Application Fabrication http www.xicommunity.ca Portal Portals 57ad7180 c5e7 49f5 b282 c6475cdb7ee7 WhatisXICommunityandXIFactory.pdf which largely refers to how to build application using Microsoft .Net application development environment only, and does not have the glue concept for a variety of large application objects systems. It seems natural we started developing software independently by weaving lines and lines of codes together, to the era where we group together independent developers via forges like http www.sourceforge.net , and then the resulting applications being fabricated together to create new applications. Use mdy dates date April 2012 Age fabrication occurs when an individual deliberately misrepresents his or her true age. This is usually done with the intent to garner privileges or Social status status that would not otherwise be available to the individual. It may be done through the use of oral or written statements or through the altering, doctoring or forging of vital records . On some occasions, age is increased so as to make cut offs for minimum legal or employable age in showbusiness or professional sports. Sometimes it is not the people themselves who lower their public age, but others around them such as publicist s, parents, and other handlers. Most cases involve taking or adding one or two years to their age. However, in more extreme cases such as with Al Lewis actor Al Lewis and Charo , a decade has been added or subtracted. Official state documents such as birth certificate birth , marriage license marriage and death certificate s, the census, and other identity document s typically provide the correct date. Although uncommon in modern Western society , it is still possible for an individual not to know his or her exact date of birth. Such an individual may arbitrarily choose a date of birth which after later research is found to be false. This situation should not be considered age fabrication as there is no obvious intent to deceive on the part of the individual. Subtracting time from one s age is often known in English as shaving , while adding time to one s age may be referred to as padding .
