Katasha R. Artis Class of 1995 is a member of the Northeastern University athletics Hall of Fame. Artis was inducted in 2001 for her acchompishments in the sport of basketball. Artis also played in the WNBA , and currently is the head coach at Kingsborough Community College . College career Artis began her collegiate career at the University of Virginia after being an All American has a high school star in Brooklyn, NY . During her first season at Virginia, Artis suffered a knee injury and transferred to Northeastern. After sitting out the required on year due to NCAA transfer rules, Artis began to play for the Huskies as a sophomore . She avereaged 14.4 points and 9.3 rebounds a game during her first season. Her junior year saw Artis take her game to the next level. Artis lead Northeastern to the American East playoffs and was voted American East Player of the Year and was voted to the All East and District I All American teams. She averaged 20.6 points per hame. During her senior season Artis averaged 21.2 points per game, leading the Huskies to a 19 10 season. Res Artis is the largest existing network of artist residency programs, representing the interests of more than 300 centers and organizations in 50 countries worldwide that offer international artists the optimum conditions for producing art. The first edition was published in Amsterdam in 1594 a second edition was published in 1614 by his son, Johannes Janssonius. A facsimile, limited to 300 copies, was published in 1969 by Midland Publishers of the Netherlands. The facsimile was printed by N. Miedma and Co. of Leeuwarden and bound by Van Rijmenam N.V. in The Hague. Translated from Latin, the title of the book is Theatre of the Art of Writing . It is an anthology of handwriting specimens by Solomon Henrix, van den Velde, Felix Van Sambix, Curione, M. Martine, Beauchesne, Houthusius, P. Goos, Jacomina Hondius, Peter Bales and other scribes. The book opens with a four page typeset instruction in the art of writing, and is followed by a series of 42 copperplate engravings. Each engraving is a specimen of roman, italic, blackletter, or Hebrew letters, usually accompanied by ornamental swashes, surrounded by an ornate Cartouche design cartouche .
