    Otheruses Pinga disambiguation Artur de Sousa , known for his nickname Pinga July 30, 1909 in Funchal July 12, 1963 in Porto was a football soccer footballer and later coach who made his name in FC Porto , club he served until his death in 1963. One of Portuguese football s most prominent players, Pinga who could play either as forward or inside left came to natiowide fame in CS Mar timo in 1930 where he earned his first call up to the Portuguese national football team national team . Followed by FC Porto, he joined the continental club still in the same year, and became the key player of the victories in the 31 32 and later the 36 37 Campeonato de Portugal the predecessor to the Cup of Portugal . He was still a playing member when the first nationwide competition played in a league system debuted which became what is now known as the SuperLiga , which Porto came out as the winner in the first two editions. He retired in 1946 after a meniscus surgery, when such operations still carried many risks. During his career he was considered the best national player ever, with 394 goals in 400 games. He studied architecture under his father Tom s Caetano . He worked in the late Baroque and rococo style of architecture. On the death of Mateus Vicente de Oliveira he became architect to the royal family and was appointed architect in charge of public works and raised to the rank of an artillery colonel . His works included the church of the Incarnation, of S. Domingos and the Bemposta Chapel . In his capacity as Royal architect he worked on various of the many royal palaces, most notably being responsible for the Mafra National Palace Library great library at Mafra National Palace Palace of Mafra and the east wing of the Palace of Queluz , which is today that part of the palace reserved for a visiting heads of state head of state . He also designed the tower of the Royal Chapel. In 1795, to honour of the birth of Dom Ant nio, 4th Prince of Beira , de Sousa designed an amphitheatre for use as a bull ring constructed in the Pra a do Com rcio in Lisbon .     Henrique Teixeira de Sousa September 19, 1919 on Fogo, Cape Verde the island of Fogo &ndash March 3, 2006 was a doctor and author from Cape Verde . Biography Teixeira de Sousa graduated in 1945 in Lisbon with a degree in Medicine , having attended in the following year the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Porto . He later specialized in nutrition and initially went to East Timor to work as a doctor there. Teixeira de Sousa settled on his natal island of Fogo the following year, where he had an important role in maintaining minimal structures of public health. Later on, he worked on the island of S o Vicente, Cape Verde S o Vicente , until he reformed shortly before the independence of the archipelago from Portugal, and moved to Oeiras Municipality, Portugal Oeiras , Portugal , where he lived until his death in 2006. Teixeira de Sousa wrote fiction, including novel s, and was a pupil of Baltasar Lopes da Silva . He was a member of the Claridoso Movement, associated to the Claridade magazine. He is one of the icons of Cape Verde literature, together with other names such as Manuel Lopes , Eug nio Tavares and Jorge Barbosa. Teixeira de Sousa was also the mayor of Mindelo , on the island of S o Vicente in the 1960s.
