She was the daughter of the illustrious Rabbi Samuel Barzani. She studied Kabbalah . The life of Tanna it Asenath Barzani was given the title Tanna it . Until the modern era, very few women were given a Jewish title. After Tanna it Barzani died, many Jews made pilgrimages to her grave in Amadiyah in Northern Iraq. Tanna it Asenath was the daughter of Rabbi Samuel Barzani, who headed many yeshiva s during his lifetime, and whose authority in Kurdistan was absolute. According to Genesis 41 45, Pharaoh gives Aseneth, the daughter of Potiphar Potipherah Pentephres in the Septuagint priest of Heliopolis ancient On to Joseph as a wife. Genesis 41 50 52 narrates that Aseneth bore Joseph two sons Manasseh tribal patriarch Manasseh and Ephraim . No more is said of her. Like many narratives in Genesis, the biblical story is tantalizingly brief, and raises questions that were to fascinate later interpreters. Why would an upstanding descendant of Jacob Israel marry the daughter of a pagan priest, and how could it be justifiable? How could two of the eponymous tribes be descended from union with an outsider, otherwise prohibited by Mosaic law the Mosaic Law ? The story of Joseph and Aseneth sets out to answer some of those questions. The twenty nine chapters of Joseph and Aseneth narrate the conversion of Aseneth, from idolatry to monotheism and the worship of Adonai . Aseneth, a virgin who has rejected numerous worthy suitors, falls in love with Joseph when he, as vizier of Egypt, visits her father. Joseph, however, rejects her as an unworthy idol worshipper. Aseneth then secludes herself in her tower, repents of her idolatry, confesses her sin, and embraces Joseph s God. Begging for freedom from the devil, she then receives an angelic visitor looking like Joseph , who assures her that her prayers are answered and that she is now a new creation. There follows a strange and extended ritual, where in order to confer on her immortality, the angel shares with Aseneth a magical honeycomb, and is told of her heavenly counterpart Metanoia Repentance . He was the List of Governors of Wyoming second Governor of Wyoming after that state joined the Union in 1890. Amos Barber was born in Doylestown, Pennsylvania Doylestown , Bucks County , in Pennsylvania , to Alfred H. Barber and Asenath Walker. He studied literature and medicine at the University of Pennsylvania , then worked as a staff physician at the Pennsylvania Hospital after graduating. In 1885, Barber moved to Wyoming to take up a position as surgeon in charge of the military hospital at Fort Fetterman . After resigning from the United States military , Barber began private practice in Cheyenne, Wyoming Cheyenne . In 1890, Barber was elected Secretary of State of Wyoming as a Republican Party United States Republican . Just eleven months later, however, Governor Francis E. Warren resigned to take up a United States Senate seat, and Barber was catapulted to the position of Acting Governor. He served as Governor from November 24, 1890 until John E. Osborne was elected on January 2, 1893. Barber continued on as Secretary of State under Osborne, his term running out in 1895. Barber rejoined the military in 1898, acting as assistant surgeon for the Spanish American War . He died in Rochester, Minnesota Rochester , Minnesota in 1915, and was survived by his wife, Amelia Kent, whom he had married in 1892. Gault was instrumental in reorganizing and revitalizing Rubbermaid into a streamlined and efficient multinational corporation. He embarked on a dual plan of divestiture and strategic investment that generated a 4 fold increase in revenues and a 6 fold increase in profitability. While he stripped weak product lines and slashed excess cost, he invested in new product development. At one point, Rubbermaid turned out more than one product a day. He was heralded as a business genius in the 1980s for his transformation of Rubbermaid.
