All current students of the University have automatic membership. It is funded by students and is governed by a constitution through 12 elected representatives. Since its inception the Association has grown into a diverse organisation with an annual turnover of around 7.0 million, approximately half of which is catering related, and approximately 15 of which is derived from student membership levies. Most facilities are situated at 90 Ilam Road. The UCSA is separated from the university by Ilam Stream, which helps demark the part of campus that students own and run. The association provides services ranging from an Early Learning Centre to a Chaplaincy team through to student bars and cafes from Student Job Search to places to spend free time by way of the 120 clubs and societies. Student Voice is run by students, for students aged 11 to 19 years old and supports young people in having a voice on issues which affect their lives at school or college. Student Voice works to become the representative organisation for students in key stages 3 5 year groups 7 to 13 throughout England. Student Voice provides support, training and advice to help students to get involved in decision making.
