    Unreferenced date December 2006 orphan date November 2009 Street Beat was a Denmark Danish band formed in 1982 by Henrik Carlsen Keyboard instrument keyboards and Bo M ller Bass guitar bass . Drummer Kristian Skovg rd Lassen joined the band shortly after. The three of them stayed together until 1993. Many famous Danish artists and musicians have started their career with a stint in the band. In 1984 Street Beat recorded two singles for Steinar Records in London. The first record was one of the first European female rap by C cilie Norby, later internationally known jazz singer . The only album was Gaga Jungle Land , released in 1986 and only in Denmark. Street Beat started off as a funky almost bigband but became much more rockorientated later on.     Beat for Beat is a Norway Norwegian musical theatre musical variety show that airs every Friday on NRK1 . It has been on the air since 1999, and consistently ranks in the top of Norwegian viewing figures. It is hosted by Ivar Dyrhaug , who has been the host since the start. Concept The show is based upon Ireland Irish game show The Lyrics Board . The show consists of two teams of two members occasionally three or four , each with their own piano and pianist. The teams are then given clues and have to figure out what song the host is alluding to, in order to score points. The team with the most points in the end are the winners. The pianists, Trond Nagell Dahl and Gisle B rge Styve, have also been with the show since the start. Competitors While the competitors are usually singers or musical artists, there have been several instances where the teams are made up of other Norwegian celebrities, such as comedians or TV personalities. In 2004, in one of the most seen programs of the show, there was a double length episode where Norway battled Sweden. As well the best known and more obscure Beat novelists and poets this has included artists, musicians filmmakers and publishers. The content largely consists of articles, memoirs, interviews and reviews. Beat Scene was founded in 1988 by editor and publisher Kevin Ring in Coventry , England. His personal fascination for the Beat Generation, in particular Jack Kerouac , was sparked in 1971, but he was frustrated that information about Beat writers and their books was hard to come by in the UK at that time.
