La Pointedu Chay is composed of layers of limestone dating back to the Sequanian stage upper Oxfordian stage of the Jurassic period circa 160 million years ago , when a large part of France was submerged. These rocks were formed by the accumulation of organisms falling on the seabed, where they solidified. This happened at the time dinosaur s were roaming the earth. Many of these layers are especially visible and easily accessible at La Pointedu Chay, in which are encapsulated many small marine fossil s. Pointedu Bois is a small community located northeast of Winnipeg, Manitoba , in an unincorporated section of Division No. 1, Manitoba Census Division No. 1 . Pointedu Bois has a Manitoba Hydro generating station at coord 50 18 13 N 95 32 24 W . It also has great fishing for Walleye pickerel . Winnipeg Hydro Tramway Originally built from a connection with the CPR at Lac du Bonnet to the City of Winnipeg s Pointedu Bois hydroelectric generating station on the Winnipeg River, to facilitate the transportation of construction materials and workers. Passenger service by conventional mixed train began in 1908. Beginning in late 1911 a series of a gasoline trams and rail buses provided most passenger service. An extension to the remote Slave Falls generating station opened in 1929. In 1962 the Pointedu Bois to Lac du Bonnet line was abandoned, ending common carrier passenger service. Passenger travel between the two dams continues by gasoline tram, but is not open to the public. In 1906, Winnipeg Hydro The City of Winnipeg Hydro Electric System City Hydro was formed as a publicly owned utility to check the power monopoly held by the privately owned Winnipeg Electric railway company WERCo . Alderman John Wesley Cockburn, who held development rights to the Pointedu Bois Generating Station site on the Winnipeg River, surrendered these rights to the City for construction of a power plant there. Her best friend is Rosella. Her family s dream is for Clare to be in City Ballet , a program for very skilled dancers. There are only 16 positions in City Ballet. Things take a turn for the worse when her teacher instructor tells her she s too tall, not only to be in City Ballet although if she weren t as tall, she would have named it in , but to be in her own dance school She is very upset at this. She is invited to dance with the adult class, where the adults dance, just to dance, but thinks the adult class is stupid. When her grandfather has a stroke , he loses the ability to talk and move his right side. When Clare finally steps up to take the adult class, everything changes.
