Its capital city is also called BuenosAires de Puntarenas BuenosAires . The canton includes a portion of the Cordillera de Talamaca along its northeastern border. The valleys of the R o General, Rio Coto Brus and R o T rraba form the core of the canton, and coastal mountain ranges set the limits on the southeast side. The canton of BuenosAires is subdivided into 9 distritos districts .
