lunar crater data latitude 41.4 N or S N longitude 85.3 E or W W diameter 52 km depth Unknown colong 86 eponym Robert Wilhelm Bunsen Robert W. Bunsen Bunsen is a moon lunar Impact crater crater that lies near the northwestern limb of the Moon . It is located to the west of the Oceanus Procellarum and the crater Von Braun crater von Braun . To the southeast is the crater Lavoisier crater Lavoisier , and to the northeast lies Gerard crater Gerard . Northwest of Bunsen, on the Far side Moon far side of the Moon, is McLaughlin lunar crater McLaughlin . Due to its position this crater appears foreshortened when viewed from the Earth , and its visibility is affected by libration . This crater has become considerably worn and eroded by subsequent impacts, leaving a formation that has been described as disintegrated. The most intact portion of the rim is along the northeastern side. There is a smaller, crater like formation intruding into the southeastern rim. Within the crater, the floor is pitted by tiny impacts, and has a rille system of criss crossing clefts near the northern and southern rims. There is a low ridge near the southwest corner of the interior. Satellite craters By convention these features are identified on lunar maps by placing the letter on the side of the crater mid point that is closest to Bunsen. class wikitable width 25 style background eeeeee Bunsen width 25 style background eeeeee Latitude width 25 style background eeeeee Longitude width 25 style background eeeeee Diameter align center A align center 43.2 N align center 88.9 W align center 39 km align center B align center 44.2 N align center 88.2 W align center 20 km align center C align center 44.2 N align center 90.0 W align center 18 km align center D align center 40.9 N align center 86.9 W align center 14 km References Lunar crater references Category Impact craters on the Moon da Bunsen m nekrater de Bunsen Mondkrater fa fr Bunsen crat re ...   more details

An ignition tube is a piece of laboratory equipment. It is a laboratory tube used much in the same way as a boiling tube except not being as large and thick walled. It is primarily used to hold small quantities of substances which are undergoing direct heating by a Bunsen burner or other heat source. Ignition tubes are used in the sodium fusion test . Ignition tubes are often difficult to clean due to the small bore. When used to heat substances strongly, some char may stick to the walls as well. They are usually disposable.
