Gauchos came in a coarse cardstock box that was covered in a wax coated paper label. These cookies had a small hole in the oatmeal wafer top that allowed any excess peanut butter filling to escape during production, thereby avoiding the filling being pushed out between the cookie layer sides. A small retail store offered baked that day but broken defective cookies in bulk for tremendous discounts. A shopping bag size bag of thin mints cost 1.00. The Scooter Pie consisted of two large oatmeal cookies with a thick layer of marshmallow between. The entire assembly was coated with chocolate and carried an estimated billion calories. Flint tool s provided the first evidence of their existence in 1919, since when charcoal , charred hazelnut shells, and tools made out of wood and bone have also been found. A 1998 Excavation archaeology excavation by the National Museums and Galleries of Wales found that Burry Holms was used as a Mesolithic seasonal camp. Iron Age people subsequently built a 5 acre 20,000 m hill fort and ditch fortification ditch on the island, while in Medieval times it was home to a monastery . During spring and summer Burry Holms is covered by flowers such as thrift plant and Sea Campion . The island is also popular among collectors of animal shell shell s.
