Rodrigues 2000 finds evidence relating Macro Je to Tupian, and Eduardo Ribeiro of the University of Chicago , who has worked with Macro Je and Tupian languages, has found further that these families share irregular morphology with each other and with Cariban. Shared grammatical irregularities are strong supporting evidence for putative language families, as they are unlikely to be borrowed or to be due to chance. Joseph Greenberg s Language in the Americas 1987 linked Macro Ge and Macro Carib together, but also with Macro Panoan rather than Tupian. The Expulsion from the Garden of Eden lang it Cacciata dei progenitori dall Eden is a fresco by the Italian Early Renaissance artist Masaccio . The fresco is a single scene from the cycle painted around 1425 by Masaccio, Masolino da Panicale Masolino and others on the walls of the Brancacci Chapel in the church of Santa Maria del Carmine di Firenze Santa Maria del Carmine in Florence . It depicts Fall of Man the expulsion from the garden of Adam and Eve , from the biblical Book of Genesis chapter 3, albeit with a few differences from the canonical account. Possible sources of inspiration Many possible sources of inspiration have been pointed out that Masaccio may have drawn from. For Adam, possible references include numerous sculptures of Marsyas from Greek Mythology and certain crucifixes crucifix done by Donatello . For Eve, art analysts usually point to different versions of Venus Pudica , such as Prudence by Giovanni Pisano . Cover up and restoration Three centuries after the fresco was painted, Cosimo III de Medici, Grand Duke of Tuscany Cosimo III de Medici , in line with contemporary ideas of decorum , ordered that fig leaves be added to conceal the genitals of the figures. 1. Expulsion of the Jews from Sicily

Use dmy dates date April 2012 Jews and Judaism sidebar Refimprove date October 2010 The expulsion of the Jews from Sicily began in 1493 when the Spanish Inquisition reached the island of Sicily and its Jewish population of more than 30,000 Jews. History of the Jews of Sicily and the Spanish Inquisition History of the Sicilian Jews main History of the Jews in Sicily At the time of Expulsion, there had been Jewish activity in Sicily for some 1,555 years, dating back to early Ancient Rome Roman times, and they were relatively untroubled on the island until the acceptance of the Crown of Aragon in Sicily in 1412. A great number of Jews had reached Sicily after Pompey s 63 BC sacking of Jerusalem , and additionally by Roman Proconsul Crassus, who is traditionally said to have sold more than 30,000 Jewish slaves on the island. After the enslavement under Roman rule, Jews in Sicily eventually assimilated into society, working in professions as wide ranged as philosophy, medicine, artisanal pursuits, and farming. The exact number of Jews in Sicily at the time of expulsion is not certain, However, some have put the number of Jewish refugees at 36,000. ref http gulnbla.tripod.com main.htm ref Also, in 1492, it is known the Jewish populations of Palermo , Messina , and several other cities were considerable, and that there were La Giudecca Giudeccas , or Jewish settlements, in over 50 places in Sicily, ranging in anywhere population from 350 to 5,000.
