Linguistically, it shared many features in common with early Shuadit Judaeo Proven al , although historically, ethnically and politically, the Catalanic speaking community was long distinct from the Shuadit speaking community, mostly as a result of the Moors Moorish Al Andalus occupation of Iberia .
