Although most Lebanese authors at the time wrote in Arabic, Corm opted to write in French language French instead. One of Corm s most significant contributions is the La Revue Phenicienne, which inspired political independence in Lebanon at the time. Georges Corm lang ar 15 June 1940 is a Lebanon Lebanese Economist and Historian. He is an economic consultant to international organizations and professor at Saint Joseph University in Beirut. He studied at the Institut d Etudes Politiques de Paris 1958 1961 where he graduated in Public Finance and has also a PhD from Paris University in Constitutional Law 1969 . He served as Finance Minister from 4 December 1998 to 28 October 2000 in the government of Salim El Hoss. His books have been translated into several languages.
