Washakie NationalForest was established by the U.S. Forest Service in Wyoming on July 1, 1911 with convert 393950 acre km2 from part of Bonneville NationalForest . On July 1, 1916 the remainder of Bonneville was added. On August 7, 1920 the entire forest was transferred to Holy Cross NationalForest and the name was discontinued.
