  1. Chiron FS

Orphan date October 2008 Chiron Filesystem is a fault tolerant replication file system . Chiron FS is a Filesystem in Userspace FUSE based filesystem that implements replication at the filesystem level like RAID 1 does at the device level. The replicated filesystem may be of any kind the only requisite is that it is mounted. There is no need for special configuration files the setup is as simple as one mount command or one line in fstab . There is no specific communication protocol, at mount time the invoking parameters indicate two or more paths to directories which will be the replicated underlying filesystems they must be already in sync . This allows the client to use any kind of underlying filesystems such as Ext3 , Network File System protocol NFS or Sshfs SSHFS and even mix them. Every write in the Chiron FS mount point subtree will be echoed to the underlying filesystems. Any read from Chiron FS mount point subtree will be made from only one of the underlying filesystems using a prioritized round robin algorithm. If one or more underlying filesystems fails, the virtualized filesystem provided by Chiron FS continues operating as long as there is at least one replica available. In this case, the failures are reported to a log file. If the failure is on a write operation, the failed replica is disabled and it is not used by Chiron FS until it is available and resynchronized with the others. Synchronization is not implemented yet in Chiron FS, so it must be done manually. If all replica fails then the calling application receives the error message as it would receive if it was accessing a non replicated filesystem. In this case there will be no log report. 1. Bugatti 18/3 Chiron

File Bugatti Chiron 8162 .jpg 250px thumb 1 4 Shot of the Chiron The Bugatti 18 3 Chiron was a concept sports car designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro . It was a mid engine design with the same W18 engine found in the Bugatti EB 118 EB 118 and Bugatti EB 218 EB 218 concept cars. The front resembles the Bugatti Veyron . The Chiron name comes from famed Bugatti racing driver, Louis Chiron . Fabrizio Giugiaro of Italdesign was responsible for the design with input from Hartmut Warkuss from the VW design center in Wolfsburg. In creating a logical successor to the EB110, they had the unique opportunity to style Bugatti s flagship model. Important design elements de the return of the horse shoe classic radiator, inset front lights, converging front hood and an exposed intake plenium. All of these elements would eventually be integrated into the final production model. Subtle details of the Chiron included eight spokes wheels wrapped in 20 inch tires that were similar to the cast aluminum wheels first found on Louis Chiron s Type 35B. Lighting on both ends of the car was cutting edge, with triple Xenon headlights and stretched turn signals. Airflow management was a large consideration in the concept design. The small shoehorn radiator couldn t provide enough air for the massive 6 liter engine so a large aperture was needed below it. 1. Chiron (hypothetical moon)

About 1 the hypothetical moon of Saturn 2 other uses 3 Chiron disambiguation Chiron Greek is the name given to a supposed natural satellite moon of Saturn sighted by Hermann Goldschmidt in 1861. It has since been determined that no such moon exists. Hermann Goldschmidt announced the discovery of the ninth moon of Saturn in April 1861, which, he said, orbited between Titan moon Titan and Hyperion moon Hyperion . Goldschmidt s discovery was never confirmed, and Chiron was never seen again. In 1898, William Henry Pickering discovered Phoebe moon Phoebe , which is now considered the ninth moon of Saturn. Strangely, in 1905, Pickering believed that he had discovered another moon of Saturn, which, he reported, orbited the planet between Titan and Hyperion. He called this new moon Themis moon Themis . Themis, like Chiron, was never sighted again. An object, now classified as a centaur planetoid centaur , which was discovered in 1977, is named 2060 Chiron .
