Coates & Co, stockbrokers, of Belfast , Lord Mayor of Belfast in 1920, 1921, 1922, 1929 and 1930 and a Member of the Senate of Northern Ireland . He was succeeded by his son, the second Baronet. He was a Brigadier in the Royal Tank Regiment . As of 2007 the title is held by his son, the third Baronet, who succeeded in 1994. The Coates Goshen was an United States American automobile produced from 1908 until 1910 by Joseph Saunders Coates in Goshen village , New York Goshen, New York . The cars had four cylinder engines of 25 hp and 32 hp. In 1910, larger 45 and 60 hp models were added. Production stopped when the factory burned down after about 30 cars had been made. The Coates Goshen factory still stands and, as of 2010, is in use as a car dealership owned by Healey Brothers Chevrolet Buick. It retains its original look.
