unreferenced date January 2009 Expert subject Physics date November 2008 quantum field theory In theoretical physics , quantum physical cosmology cosmology is a field attempting to study the effect of quantum mechanics on the formation of the universe, or its early evolution, especially just after the Big Bang . Despite many attempts, such as the Wheeler deWitt equation , the field remains a rather speculative branch of quantum gravity . The area with the most current research is loop quantum cosmology , based on loop quantum gravity . An important problem in this field is the origin of physical information in the universe. In physical cosmology , decoupling is a transition from close interaction between a particle type and other matter to their substantial independence of each other. The most often discussed such decoupling is at the moment during Recombination cosmology recombination when the rate of Compton scattering became slower than the expansion of the universe . At that moment, photon s nearly stopped their interactions with charged matter and decoupled , producing the cosmic microwave background radiation as we know it. Another instance is the neutrino decoupling which occurred about one second after the Big Bang . Analogous to the decoupling of photons, neutrinos decoupled when the rate of weak interaction s between neutrino s and other forms of matter dropped below the rate of expansion of the universe, which produced a cosmic neutrino background . Inhomogeneous cosmology usually means the study of structure in the universe by means of exact solutions of Einstein s field equations i.e. Metric tensor general relativity metrics . Such models are not homogeneous, but contain enough matter to be possible Physical cosmology cosmological models , or models of cosmological structures such as voids or galaxy clusters. The best known example of such solutions is the Lemaitre Tolman metric or LT model . Some other examples are the Szekeres metric, Szafron metric, Stephani metric, Kantowski Sachs metric, Barnes metric, Kustaanheimo Qvist metric, Senovilla metric. In contrast, perturbation theory, which deals with small perturbations from e.g. a homogeneous metric, only holds as long as the perturabtions are not too large, and N body simulations use Newtonian gravity which is only a good approximation when speeds are low and gravitational fields are weak. Other uses Flatness disambiguation Flatness The concept of curvature of space is fundamental to physical cosmology cosmology . A space without curvature is called a flat space or Euclidean space citation needed date April 2012 what about Minkowski space, gravity and the associated Riemann tensor? Isn t the Minkowski space flat as well ? . Whether the universe is flat could determine its ultimate fate whether it will expand forever, or ultimately collapse back into itself. The geometry of spacetime has been measured by the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe WMAP to be nearly flat. According to the WMAP 5 year results and analysis, WMAP determined that the universe is flat, from which it follows that the mean energy density in the universe is equal to the Friedman equations critical density within a 1 margin of error . Brane cosmology refers to several theories in particle physics and physical cosmologycosmology motivated by, but not exclusively derived from, superstring theory and M theory . Brane and bulk Main Membrane M Theory The central idea is that the visible, four dimensional universe is restricted to a Membrane M Theory brane inside a Kaluza Klein higher dimensional space, called the bulk . If the additional dimension s are compact dimension compact , then the observed universe contains the extra dimensions, and then no reference to the bulk is appropriate. In the bulk model, at least some of the extra dimensions are extensive possibly infinite , and other branes may be moving through this bulk. Interactions with the bulk, and possibly with other branes, can influence our brane and thus introduce effects not seen in more standard cosmological models. afd mergeto Ra lian beliefs and practices Ra lian cosmology 08 December 2010 date December 2010 Image Ra lian cosmology.jpg thumb Ra lian cosmology Ra lism Ra lian cosmology is a cosmology proposed in 1973 by Ra l , the founder of the International Ra lism Ra lian Movement. This cosmology is similar to the Jain cosmology in that it proposes that the observable universe has no creator and is infinite in time and infinite in size and surrounded by infinite space. However, in Ra lian cosmology, our observable universe is an atom of a much larger level of matter and possibly organism . It is also stated in Ra l s books that atoms of our atoms , or subatomic particles in our bodies, also possess universes like our own, but on a much smaller scale. This pattern, atom within universe within atom, is believed to be infinitely repetitive, from the infinitely small, to the infinitely large. The Ra lian Messages by Ra l state that humanoid extraterrestrials, who were originally called under the name Elohim singular Eloha , verified this cosmology scientifically. Beliefs Ra l says that, Everything is in everything. Inside the atoms of living things, he says, are living things made of atoms which themselves have living things made of atoms, and so on, to the infinitely small. The universe itself is contained in an atom inside of another universe, and so on, to the infinitely large. Because of the difference of mass, the activity of life inside in a living thing s atoms would undergo many millennia before enough time passes for that living thing to take a single step. Orphan date April 2010 Unreferenced date May 2010 Sigma in cosmology was a property of Galaxy galaxies used when trying to work out the mystery of galaxies and their supermassive black hole s. History In the late 1990s the Nuker team NUKER experts had made observations with a spectroscope of two galaxies, one of an Active galactic nucleus active galaxy with an active galactic nucleus called NGC10 68 and a dormant galaxy next door to us named Andromeda Galaxy Andromeda . File Spetroscope Observations.jpg thumb NUKER s observations of M 31 Andromeda galaxy with a spectroscope. Light was distorted proving the existence of a supermassive black hole. The observations are shown. The light from the centre in Andromeda galaxy was distorted proving the existence of super massive black holes. Other observations proved most galaxies had a similar centre whether it be active or dormant. They then realised that the black hole s must have something to do with a galaxy s formation, so they turned to something they thought was useless the speed of the star s around the edge of the galaxy. This was Sigma, the speed of the stars at the edge of the galaxy supposedly unaffected by the mass of the black hole at the centre. Usage In Cosmology The Nuker Team NUKER team calculated the sigma of several stars in different galaxies and the mass of the black hole at the nucleus centre. They expected no correlation what so ever. But when plotting their results on a Scatter diagram and drawing a line of best fit they ended up with a positive correlation. It appeared that the heavier the black hole at the centre was the faster the stars within the galaxy travelled. cosmology cTopic Experiments Observational cosmology is the study of the structure, the evolution and the origin of the universe through observation , using instruments such as telescope s and cosmic ray detectors. Early observations The science of physical cosmology as it is practiced today had its subject material defined in the years following the Shapley Curtis debate when it was determined that the universe had a larger scale than the Milky Way galaxy . This was precipitated by observations that established the size of the universe size and the dynamics of the cosmos that could be explained by Einstein s General Theory of Relativity . Rebirth Buddhism reborn and into what state they will be reborn. The cosmology has also been interpreted in a symbolical or allegorical sense see Ten spiritual realms . Buddhist cosmology can be divided into two related kinds spatial cosmology, which describes the arrangement of the various worlds within the universe, and temporal cosmology, which describes how those worlds come into existence, and how they pass away. Spatial cosmology Spatial cosmology can also be divided into two branches. The vertical or IAST cakrav a cosmology describes the arrangement of worlds in a vertical pattern, some being higher and some lower. By contrast, the horizontal sahasra cosmology describes the grouping of these vertical worlds into sets of thousands, millions or billions.
