History Gubin suffered a drop in population following the aftermath of Operation Storm , with the Serbian majority fleeing to Serbia in 1995. In later years a small number of the residents returned. The village was completely devastated by Croatian forces after the Yugoslav wars , but organisations such as the United Methodist Church have raised funds to help rebuild the town.
