A cush drive is a part of a motorcycle or Scooter motorcycle scooter drive train that is designed to reduce stress from engine torque damaging other components during gear or throttle changes. A common design used by almost all street motorcycles, it has three major pieces the wheel, the sprocket assembly, and the rubber damper. The wheel and the sprocket assembly fit together with five sections much like two hands woven together. In between the contact of the two assembly are rubber blocks. This makes it so the wheel and the sprocket have a dampening layer between them, and the rubber blocks reduce wear and fatigue of the metal assemblies. Another popular system incorporates metallic compression type coil spring s placed between the input and output shafts of the cush drive assembly. The cush drive was invented by Royal Enfield in 1912 ref cite web url http heartsandtears.com content.php?cms id 5 title The Legendary Royal Enfield accessdate 29 February 2012 ref for use on their 425cc V twin ref http www.theworldofmotorcycles.com vintage motorcycle royal enfield.html ref . For the Okinawan king, see Gihon Ryukyu . For the Gihon Spring in Jerusalem, see Gihon Spring . Gihon is the name of the second river mentioned in the second chapter of the Bible biblical Book of Genesis . The Gihon is mentioned as one of four rivers along with the Tigris , Euphrates , and Pishon issuing out of the Garden of Eden that branched from a single river within the garden. The name Hebrew language Hebrew Gi n may be interpreted as bursting forth, gushing . As such, it can be identified with the Karkheh , that along with the Karun share their deltaic marshlands with the Tigris and Euphrates in the Sumer ian Garden of Eden Eden to the present day. The Gihon is described as encircling the entire land of Biblical Cush Cush , a name associated with Ethiopia elsewhere in the Bible or Kingdom of Kush Kush . This is one of the reasons that Ethiopians have long identified the Gihon with the Abay River Blue Nile , which encircles the former kingdom of Gojjam . From a current geographic standpoint this would seem impossible, since two of the other rivers said to issue out of Eden, the Tigris and the Euphrates, are in Mesopotamia .
