  1. Cadillac Commercial Chassis

No footnotes date January 2011 File 1959 Cadillac hearse Janowiak funeral home Ypsilanti Michigan.JPG thumb left 1959 Cadillac hearse The Cadillac Commercial Chassis was basically a strengthened version of the long wheelbase Cadillac automobile Cadillac Cadillac Series 355 Series 355 frame and the Cadillac Series 75 Series 75 was intended to carry the extra weight of the bodywork, rear deck and cargo area of hearse funeral coaches and ambulance s. Specifically designed for professional car use, the rear of the Cadillac Commercial Chassis was considerably lower than the passenger car frame, thereby lowering the rear deck height as well for ease of loading and unloading. They were shipped as incomplete cars to coachbuilder s for final assembly. As shipped from the factory, a Cadillac Commercial Chassis was little more than a complete rolling chassis along with front end sheetmetal with all lighting and trim, dashboard, air conditioning if specified and the main road controls. Rear quarter panels and sometimes the front door shells were shipped with the chassis for use in the finished coachwork. Cadillac s adoption of unibody construction in recent years means that Cadillac based funeral coaches are usually though not always produced from modified sedans. Motor vehicle standards of the United States and Canada which called for increased weight ratings as of the 1979 model year spelled the end of automobile based ambulances and the beginning of the van based units seen today throughout North America. 1. Chassis Air Guide

Other uses CAG disambiguation CAG Chassis Air Guide or CAG in abbreviation, is Intel Corporation Intel s Thermal management of electronic devices and systems thermal solution to Personal computer PC chassis. The solution includes an Duct HVAC air duct for CPU , because in an environment of increasing thermal load s, the CPU processor is generally the most demanding component in terms of system thermal design. It also describes optimal locations for intake and exhaust system exhaust Cooling fan fans . Lower chassis temperature brings lower processor die temperature , while most computer enclosures typically provide an internal thermal environment of approximately 40 45 C at a 35 C Room temperature room , Intel Corporation Intel claims. CAG provides a solution to lower processor s thermal environment. The initial revision known as CAG 1.0 was released on May 2002. The recent version known as CAG 1.1 was then released on September 2003. 1. Thermally Advantaged Chassis

A Thermally Advantaged Chassis is a computer enclosure that complies with the Thermally Advantaged Chassis TAC especifications created by Intel. It is capable of maintaining an internal ambient temperature below 38 degrees Celsius when functioning with Intel s Pentium 4 and Celeron Celeron D processors based on 90 nm process technology, and an ambient temperature below 39 degrees Celsius when using a Pentium D processor. Intel maintains that using a thermally advantaged chassis is the absolute minimum requirement for using Pentium 4 Prescott , Pentium D , and Celeron D, processors. Overview In the 1.1 version, The TAC design is intended to disallow internal temperature rises of more than 3 degrees Celsius, and provide the processor with a cooler environment to work in. Its main feature is a Chassis Air Guide that directs room temperature air directly in the path of the CPU fan and heat sink . The chassis air guide is a passive cooling system, and relies completely on internal system Computer fan fans to guide the air. Airflow pattern As with most computers, the rear fan and Computer power supply power supply fan exhaust, moving hot air away from the computer. This causes a slight depressurization inside the chassis, and requires all other openings to become intake vents. Airflow from the front of the chassis moves around the Chassis Air Guide, allowing the processor fan to only draw air from outside the chassis, providing more effective cooling. System fans The rear chassis exhaust fan is required to be at least 92 mm or larger, providing a minimum of 55 Cubic feet per minute CFM in free air. The processor is required to have an active cooling system, consisting of a fan and heat sink. Side panel venting The side panel is required to have an add in card vent, which provides room temperature air to the add in cards. High performance graphics cards will benefit from the lower ... As it was the first Aston Martin to be called a Volante any drop head version of the DB4 and DB5 series should therefore be called a Convertible and not a Volante , br br The car is a cross between the DB5 same chassis and DB6 bumpers, rear church TR4 lights, oil cooler, leather stitching , but is closer to being a DB5. Only 37 cars were ever built, being constructed on the last DB5 chassis, between the dates of October 1965 and October 1966. Calling it a Short Chassis is a bit of a misnomer it is a unique Aston model. The short comes from comparing it to the subsequent DB6, which has a longer chassis. When compared to the DB5, it is not short but rather the same size.
