It also serves a wide selection of pub food, including curry, locally caught fish, pies and steaks, among others. Location The Rockmount is located on the Cobo coast road and looks out over Cobo bay. It has a special licensing agreement that allows alcohol purchased at the bar to be taken onto the beach during the summer months. Ownership The pub is owned by Randalls Brewery , which in turn is owned by the Guernsey Pub Company . The current landlord is David Nussbaumer. Awards The Rockmount won the Campaign for Real Ale CAMRA Pub of the Year award for 2005 Guernsey section , making it the first pub outside of St Peter Port to do so. Construction Designed by Frederick Foster, it had a concrete and stone neck, wooden piles supporting iron girders, and a wooden deck. After opening in 1846, it was rebuilt in 1872 along the new classical Victorian era civil engineering lines, with screw piles made from iron, steel supporting girders and a wooden deck.
