  1. D-Link G604T Network Adaptor

The DSL G604T is an integrated Wireless ADSL router with 100Base T hub from the D Link corporation that aims to provide both wireless and wired networking capability to its users. Commonly used in both the home and office it is but one of many such tools on the market as of May 2006. Technical details The G604T runs MontaVista and busybox Linux which allows a degree of customisation with customised firmware . These and similar units from D Link appear to have an issue that causes certain services to fail when using the factory provided firmware, namely the Debian package update service being interrupted due to a faulty DNS through DHCP issue at the kernel level. A v2.00B06.AU 20060728 patch was made available through their downloads section that provided some level of correction, but it was not a complete fix and the issue would resurface intermittently. When the issue was originally reported, Dlink seemed to have misunderstood that the same issue has been discovered by the Linux community at large to be common across a number of their router models and they failed to provide a complete fix across the board for all adsl router models. Removing the router and installing a different brand generally solves the issue completely. ref http www.mepis.org node 10306 ref Similar models The DSL G624T, DSL G664T and DSL G684T routers are very similar to the G604T. 1. S-LINK

orphan date July 2010 S LINK , for simple link interface , is a high performance data acquisition standard developed at CERN for collecting information from particle accelerator s and other sources. Unlike similar systems, S LINK is based on the idea that data will be collected and stored by computers at both ends of the link, as opposed to a dumb devices collecting data to be stored on a smart computer. Having a full computer at both ends allows S LINK to be very thin, primarily defining the logical standards used to feed data at high speed from the motherboards to the link hardware interfaces. S LINK started in 1995 in response to problems collecting data from the new ATLAS experiment at CERN. ATLAS was extensively instrumented with stand alone computers, which sent data via a variety of methods to be collected on various servers. S LINK was seen as a way to provide a single mechanism for forwarding the data from the collection to the link hardware with extremely low latency. Generally the S LINK hardware provided functionality that would normally be provided by networking or other drivers running on the host Central processing unit CPU , thereby tying up cycles and introducing delays. S LINK used a 32 bit bus running up to 66  MHz, allowing for throughout up to 264 megabyte MB s. The link side was typically connected to optical fibre for transmission to the collecting machines, known as the read out motherboard , or ROMB . Data could also be sent back to the front end motherboard or FEMB , typically for flow control purposes at a much lower speed. The Skudeneshavn Randaberg Ferry was at the same time downgraded, and the Mortavika Arsv gen Ferry established as the main connection. Combined with the Rennes y Fixed Link , this gave much shorter ferry times across Boknafjord . 1. Split link

Unreferenced date October 2009 In the mathematics mathematical field of knot theory , a split link is a link knot theory link that has a topological 2 sphere in its complement separating one or more link components from the others. A split link is said to be splittable , and a link that is not split is called a non split link or not splittable. Whether a link is split or non split corresponds to whether the link complement is reducible or irreducible as a 3 manifold . A link with an alternating diagram, i.e. an alternating link , will be non split if and only if this diagram is connected. This is a result of the work of William Menasco . A split link has many connected, non alternating link diagrams. Category Knot theory knottheory stub ...   more details

At Canterbury Cathedral on 12 February 1986 the governments signed a treaty approving construction of the Channel Tunnel. In March the concession for the operation of the tunnel was given to Channel Tunnel Group CTG and France Manche FM . Following the award of this concession CTG was subsumed by the newly formed Eurotunnel plc and FM was similarly replaced with Eurotunnel SA, together these formed the Eurotunnel Group. In July 1985 the British contractors formed Translink Contractors and the French consortium formed Transmanche Construction.
