Acadians East Noel may have been Vil Robere first settled by the Robert Henry family. Dwellings marked on contemporanous maps suggest that the village around the Noel Bay was much larger than any other along the shore. These maps suggest that around the Noel Bay there may have been two villages Vil Noel to the west and Vil Robere to the east in present day East Noel also known as Densmore Mills, Nova Scotia . The fact that Vil Robere was the first village established might lend itself to the strong possibility that Noel Doiron would likely have joined his brother in law in the Noel Bay, which also suggests that Vil Robere is East Noel. Alternatively, there is evidence to suggest that Vil Robere is Selma, Nova Scotia . Ulster Scots Irish After the exodus of the Acadians, Francis Densmore was the first to settle the community on the east side of the Noel Bay twenty two years later 1772 . The year prior, Timothy O Brien has begun to settle the west side of the Noel Bay, now known as Noel, Nova Scotia . Francis and his wife Sarah had the following inscription written on their tombstone in East Noel Frank and Sarah were the first settlers of this Place . Jacob Yost Shantz 2 May 1822 &ndash 28 October 1909 was a businessman from Ontario who helped Mennonites migrate from Russia to southern Manitoba. Shantz was born and raised in Ebytown, Upper Canada. The community subsequently became Berlin and, lastly, Kitchener, Ontario . He was part of that community, and its success, in a large way. He was involved in a variety of successful business ventures during his lifetime. His further notability in Canadian history comes from his involvement with settling Mennonites from Russia in Canada. In 1872, Shantz accompanied Bernhard Warkentin, a southern Russian Mennonite, on an exploratory trip to western Canada. He been asked by the Canadian government to oversee this exploration. After his visit to Manitoba, Shantz sent a report of his findings to the government. Immigration officials liked the report and requested a more detailed account. The results of this request was a report called Narrative of a journey to Manitoba . When published and translated into various languages, this narrative became promotional literature for European immigration to Canada. A community in Manitoba, Schanzenfeld, Manitoba Schanzenfeld , was named in his honour. The spoken word lyrics, written by Morrison, come from a poem he wrote in 1968, three years before the music was written. These lyrics were published in a Doors souvenir book. It could be said that the WASP part of the title originated from the phrase White Anglo Saxon Protestant. It has gained considerable fame over the years and has been featured on several Doors compilation CDs. Inspiration Texas Radio refers to high power Mexico Mexican radio stations that blasted Texas in the 1950s. Not restricted by American regulations, said stations could have up to 150 kilowatt s. The song is Morrison s poetry recording with the rest of the band s music. Part of the lyrics to the song, with the mention of Indians scattered on dawn s highway, bleeding , allegedly refers to one of Morrison s childhood experiences, when he and his family were driving down a desert highway and passed a road accident site, where trucks loaded with Indian workers had collided. According to Morrison, during that experience the souls of the dead Native American workers leapt into his soul and stayed there . The song marks the first creation of new Doors songs, with the overdubbing of music to pre existing poetry recital tapes by the surviving Doors members.
