In a physical and especially geophysical simulation context, a diagnosticequation or diagnostic model is an equation or model that links the values of these variables simultaneously, either because the equation or model is time independent, or because the variables all refer to the values they have at the same identical time. This is by opposition to a prognostic equation . For instance, the so called ideal gas law PV nRT of classical thermodynamics relates the state variable s of that gas, all estimated at the same time. It is understood that the values of any one of these variables can change in time, but the relation between these variables will remain valid at each and every particular instant, which implies that one variable cannot change its value without the value of another variable also being affected. Merge Immunodiagnostics discuss Talk Immunodiagnostics Merger date September 2009 Diagnostic immunology is a collective term for a variety of diagnostic techniques that rely on the specificity of the bond between antibody antibodies and antigen s. Diagnostic immunology is well suited for the detection of even the smallest of amounts of bio chemical substances. Antibodies specific for a desired antigen can be bacterial conjugation conjugated with a radiolabel , fluorescent label, or color forming enzyme and are used as a probe to detect it. Well known applications of this include pregnancy tests, immunoblot ting, ELISA and immunohistochemical staining of microscope slide s. The speed, accuracy and simplicity of such tests has led to the development of rapid techniques for the diagnosis of disease, microbes and even illegal drugs in vivo of course tests conducted in a closed environment have a higher degree of accuracy . Your life as a diagnostic radiographer would be based in the NHS hospital x ray unit or even A&E departments. It is required to work unsocial and night shifts, although extra payment could be enhanced, bringing people into the x ray room and using highly specialist state of the art equipment, which is worth millions of pounds. You would normally hand the report over to the physician s or surgeon s, or a physician associate , which would then have a look at it and discuss with other healthcare staff. You would definitely work closely with other staff, and you must have a good understanding and knowledge of the x rays, which will be studied in the degree.
