The Quodlibet or Wedding Quodlibet , BWV 524, is a lighthearted composition by Johann Sebastian Bach which today exists only in fragmentary form. The line In diesem Jahre haben wir zwei Sonnenfinsternissen In this year we have seen two solar eclipses places the composition of the piece in or shortly after 1707 , when central Germany was witness to two such celestial events. The extant source a fair copy autograph manuscript on three large, folded sheets was not discovered until 1932. The work itself is a loosely structured quodlibet for SATB and Figured bass continuo . Bach likely did not write the text, which some attribute to the Leipzig poet Johann Friedrich Gottsched . Though the cover sheet has been lost, the libretto of the remaining portion indicates that the quodlibet was to be performed at a wedding, possibly Bach s own. References Bratz, Thomas. Unreferenced date December 2009 Tr mmerliteratur rubble literature , also called Kahlschlagliteratur clear cutting literature , is a literary movement that began shortly Effects of World War II after World War II in Germany and lasted until about 1950 . It is primarily concerned with the fate of former soldiers and POWs who could return to Germany, who must stand both before the rubble of their homeland and their possessions as well as before the rubble of their ideals and deal with it. American short stories served as a model for the authors of this epoch. The stylistic means employed were simple, direct language, which laconically described but did not evaluate the destroyed world, and a restriction, usual for short stories, of the space, narrated time, and characters. It is because of this simplification that this epoch is also named Kahlschlagliteratur clear cutting literature . Ich werde hier sein im Sonnenschein und im Schatten is a novel by Swiss writer Christian Kracht . It was published by Kiepenheuer & Witsch in September 2008. The title, translating to I ll be here in sunshine and in shadow , is from the lyrics to the Irish anthem Danny Boy . The novel presents an alternate history of Switzerland in which Lenin did not leave Switzerland for Russia in 1917 to bring about the Russian Revolution 1917 Russian Revolution . Instead, Lenin s revolution took place in Switzerland, transforming it into the Swiss Socialist Republic , a Communist state engaged in the colonisation of Africa and in perpetual war with other totalitarian empires, notably with a federation of British and German fascists. The plot of the novel, set in around 2010, traces a black Swiss political commissar s journey to the heart of the empire, the gigantic alpine Reduit , where he is to arrest Brazhinsky, an enemy of the state.
