Dinah visits the fictional community of Hayslope a rural, pastoral and close knit community in 1799. She is a vocalist, best known for her band 45 Grave , one of the founders of the genre of music known as deathrock . Biography Cancer s first band was Castration Squad , an all women band all women punk band formed by Alice Bag of The Bags . It was in this band that she went by the moniker Mary Bat Thing . Cancer was also in Vox Pop band Vox Pop and sang backup for Nervous Gender in the 1980s. In 1981, 45 Grave was formed. Bassist Rob Graves had been in The Bags , keyboardist Paul Roessler had played in The Screamers and Nervous Gender, and Don Bolles had drummed for Nervous Gender and The Germs . With the addition of Paul Cutler on guitar, the band found success with the release of their first single Black Cross in 1981, and their contributions to the compilation Hell Comes To Your House . They are considered one of the originators of deathrock and helped form the sound and aesthetics of what would come to be known as Gothic rock Goth . Cancer dated Nikki Sixx of M tley Cr e for a period in the early 1980s, before marrying Paul Cutler while both were members of 45 Grave. 45 Grave broke up in 1985. Dinah Barbara Christie born December 29, 1942 in London , England is a Canada Canadian comedic actor and singer. The daughter of actors Robert Christie actor Robert and Margot Christie , she came to Canada at the age of two with her parents and grew up in Toronto . At age 13, she worked as a Call boy theatre call boy at the Stratford Festival of Canada Stratford Festival and became an apprentice at the Festival in 1960. Before she was out of her teens, Christie had been cast as a performer at Stratford, including roles in Macbeth , The Tempest and Cyrano de Bergerac play Cyrano de Bergerac in 1962. She starting singing while attending North Toronto Collegiate Institute and performed as a folk music folk singer in her teens, taking voice lessons from Portia White . Christie got to Grade 13 at NTCI but did not graduate. In 1961, she sang in a comedy revue in Toronto starring Dave Broadfoot and Jean Templeton that was directed by her father. In 1965, Christie was selected by Tom Kneebone to co star in a stage revue , and the two would frequently work together for decades. Also that year, she joined CBC Television s This Hour Has Seven Days , for which she regularly sang satire satirical songs. She was the second wife of Jacob Pavlovich Adler Jacob Adler , with whom she had a daughter, Celia Adler Celia they divorced, and she married Siegmund Feinman. Contrary to the custom of the time, she and Adler remained friends even after their divorce. The daughter of Poland Polish Jew s, Shtettin had a strict Orthodox Jewish upbringing in London . She began her theatrical career in the chorus of Israel Grodner s London troupe in the mid 1880s, eventually getting small parts, and joining Adler s troupe when the Grodners went to Paris .
