Doodle Do is a United Kingdom British television programme designed for pre school children . It is currently aired on the CBeebies channel. The programme features three Doodle Doers &mdash puppets called Dib dab , Scribble and Stick &mdash who interact with a human presenter, Chris played by Chris Corcoran , a wales Welsh Stand up comedy stand up comedian . Dib dab, Stick and Scribble are literal hand puppet glove puppet s, as they consist of colourful knitting knitted glove s decorated with eyes, noses, and hair. They are operated by three puppeteers who remain concealed behind features of the Set construction studio set , such as curtains or boxes, or beneath the raised studio floor. One episode was filmed in the French Ski Resort of Les Deux Alpes . The programme is a loose how to arts feature similar to SMarteenies , but aimed at an even younger audience. Dinky Doodle was a cartoon character created by Walter Lantz for Bray Productions in 1924. Dinky was standard boy character, sporting a flat cap , a striped shirt, and dark shorts. He and his dog Weakheart appeared alongside Lantz himself as the cartoonist in a series of cartoons that combined Films with live action and animation live action and animation , similar in style to Max Fleischer s Out of the Inkwell series. The character enjoyed a degree of popularity among audiences, but was retired from the screen in 1926. He was later mockingly mentioned as someone supposedly kidnapped when Angelo mocks Eddie Valiant for working for a toon in the 1988 film Who Framed Roger Rabbit .
