  1. Local ecumenical partnership

tone date March 2008 In England and Wales , a local ecumenical partnership or project is a partnership between Christian Church church es of different Religious denomination denomination s. First piloted in 1964, over 850 now exist to promote unity between different Christianity Christian denominations. Although broadly accepted today, this increased level of partnership has not always been evident. The missiology missiologist David Bosch in his Transforming Mission Orbis, 1992 recognised ecumenism as the most recent paradigm of mission emerging from the worldwide Church. The main thrust of ecumenism is that despite the theological and cultural differences evident between denominations, the mission of any local Church is made more effective through a united witness. In some cases this has meant that a Christian presence has been retained in areas where neither denomination would be able to continue on its own. In addition, ecumenism encourages the sharing of different worship styles, the development of mutual understanding and the ability for the Church to speak with a united voice on social justice issues. Materials from organisations with a strong ecumenical emphasis, such as the Iona Community and Taiz Community Taiz , are evidence of this. 1. Ecumenical Catholic Church

The http www.ecchurch.org Ecumenical Catholic Church ECC calls itself a separate denomination within the universal Christian Church. It teaches the faith of the Nicene Creed , that One God exists in three coequal and coeternal Persons the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and that Jesus is the Son of God and Redeemer of humanity, uniting Christians through the rebirth of Baptism and the fellowship of the Eucharist. The liturgy of the ECC is similar to that of the Roman Catholic Church , but it is politically independent and not under the jurisdiction of the Holy See Vatican or the Roman hierarchy and thus is one of the Independent Catholic Churches .
