    Edward J. Bloustein Distinguished Scholars are recognized as the highest achieving graduating high school students in or from New Jersey and are granted awards regardless of need. Students are selected on the basis of the following criteria class rank of one, two, or three in the graduating class or class rank within the top 10 percent of the graduating class at the end of the junior year with combined critical reading and math SAT scores of 1,260 or higher at the end of the junior year. New Jersey students attending out of state secondary schools must rank in the top 10 of their class and have combined critical reading and math SAT scores of at least 1,260. Distinguished Scholars are offered an annual award of up to 1,000 without regard to financial need. The scholarship may be available for up to four years of undergraduate study at a New Jersey college or university, if funds are appropriated by the New Jersey Legislature each year. The recipient must enroll full time during the academic year following his or her secondary school graduation at a New Jersey college or university to receive payment of the award. More than 5,000 Distinguished Scholars received award offers for the 2006 07 collegiate academic year. Edward Roush , who served as a State Representative and State Senator in Indiana and a representative in the U.S. House of Representatives . The Indiana Indiana Department of Natural Resources Department of Natural Resources DNR , in partnership with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers , manages public land at Roush Lake, along with that of seven other lakes in the state, including nearby Salamonie and Mississinewa lakes. The latter two, along with Roush, are known as the Upper Wabash Reservoirs. Under a lease with the Corps, the DNR operates and maintains the recreational facilities and wildlife areas at these properties. He received his artistic education mostly in Stockholm , Sweden, gained the Roman prize in the academy of fine arts there, and subsequently lived for many years in London , England. In 1852 he came to this country and, devoting himself to his art, achieved a reputation, and was elected an associate of the National Academy of Design in 1869. After graduating from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania , Lewis joined his father, Eugene Lebowitz , in several small real estate ventures, which quickly flourished into the multi faceted real estate development corporation that is Oxford Development Company . Among his accomplishments, Eddie Lewis is credited for developing the first two story enclosed shopping mall in the United States , South Hills Village in Pittsburgh, PA , and virtually conceptualizing the modern American regional shopping mall thereafter. Additionally, Lewis was instrumental in developing much of what has become Aventura, FL , a city which he named, in South Florida , with developments including Aventura Mall , Turnberry Isle Resort and Club , and numerous high end residential projects. Lewis achievements in commercial real estate span numerous states and range from spiraling urban skyscrapers to suburban retail centers. Despite keeping a low profile with the press, Lewis famed yacht Monkey Business Yacht Monkey Business became an internationally known household name after a visit by President ial hopeful Gary Hart sunk his political campaign. Lewis was the Chair official Chairman of the Board of his family owned company, which continues to be a prominent player in Commerce commercial and residential real estate. Edward J. Lewis died on Thursday, November 30, 2006 from complications related to lung cancer. He is survived by his wife Anne and his children Jon, Cathy, Benjamin, and Andy.
