Biography Casper Einem is the son of composer Gottfried von Einem and his wife Lianne, n e von Bismarck . After studying jurisprudence in Vienna , gaining the degree of Dr. jur. in 1971, Einem worked as a probation officer in Vienna and Salzburg . After this, he worked for the Austrian Chamber of Workers. In 1991, he became a manager for the OMV , Austria s biggest gas and oil company, where he eventually was director of the Department for Gas. He is married and has a son. Political career In 1994, Einem became Secretary of State , which boosted his career. From 1995 until 1997 he was Interior Minister of Austria , and later, until 2000, Minister for Science and Traffic. In his time as Interior Minister, it was his task to clear up the series of briefcase bomb attacks that haunted Austria in those years. Since the election victory of VP and FP in 2000, he has been a member of the National Council of Austria . He was elected in the Central Western District of Vienna Alsergrund , where he has also been Chairman of the local SP organisation until 2008. Einem was deputy chairman of his party s parliamentary group, spokesman for European Affairs and a highly influential figure in his party. Its first performance took place in Salzburg, August 6, 1947. It was revised in 1955. The successful premiere of Gottfried von Einem s opera Dantons Tod at the 1947 Salzburg Festival and its quick staging by European houses were due to more than the strong drama of Einem s score. This was a first step toward the rehabilitation of German musicians after World War II an opera by a young Austrian composer who had not collaborated in the former regime s cultural policies. Dantons Tod dramatizes legalized governmental terror, a plague which the world at the time realized had not been eradicated with the end of the war. Dialogue Between a Priest and a Dying Man original French Dialogue entre un pr tre et un moribond is a dialogue written by the Marquis de Sade while incarcerated at Ch teau de Vincennes in 1782, expressing his atheism by having a dying man a libertine convince a priest of the mistakes of a pious life. It is one of the earliest known written works from de Sade to be dated with certainty, and was first published in 1926 together with an edition of Historiettes, Contes et Fabliaux written originally in 1788 . It was subsequently published in English in 1927 by Pascal Covici in a limited, hand numbered edition of 600 copies. The dialogue inspired a similar scene in Luis Bu uel s film Nazar n 1959 , wherein a dying man wards off a priest and debates with him about atheism and religion while on his deathbed. Bu uel has previously adapted The 120 Days of Sodom into a scene in his earlier L Age d Or 1930 and would go on to feature the Marquis himself as a character in The Milky Way 1969 film La Voie Lact e 1969 .
