In the farm to the east of the house are stables, built at the same time as the house. They have a symmetrical front of five bay architecture bays , with the central and end bays stepped slightly forward. In the centre bay is a coach entrance. The parapet is battlement castellated . On the roof is a two tier dovecote with a clock in the upper tier. Mahmood was prominent in the Liverpool District Labour Party UK Labour Party s campaign for more money for the city from the government of Margaret Thatcher , and was elected to the city council as part of the Liverpool 29 who replaced the Liverpool 47 when they were surcharged in 1986. http www.liverpool47.org She was also prominent in the campaign against the Poll Tax and was put forward to be the Labour candidate in the Liverpool Walton by election, 1991 Liverpool Walton by election caused by the death of Eric Heffer in 1991. Although she won a majority of 92 out of 140 Walton Labour Party members, once the union votes were counted, Peter Kilfoyle became the official Labour Party UK Labour Party candidate. In the ensuing by election, Kilfoyle won with 21,317 votes while Mahmood, standing as Walton Real Labour , came third with 2,613.     Malay name Mohamed Sanusi Mahmood Haji Mohamed Sanusi Mahmood 8 October 1909 8 Octorber 1995 was the first Mufti of Singapore . Life Sanusi was one of the few ulama who had a good command of Malay, Arabic and English during his time. From 1922 to 1931, he attended Victoria School Victoria Bridge School and then Raffles Institution . In 1929, due to his excellent results in the Senior Cambridge examination, he managed to skip two grades. Sanusi went on to study Islam and Arabic from his grandfather, the Mufti of Indera Giri, at Safat, Sumatra , Indonesia from 1931 to 1932. He was the first Singaporean to obtain the prestigious Al Alamiyah from Al Azhar University in Cairo , Egypt . In 1968, Sanusi was appointed as Singapore s first Mufti as well as the President of Syariah Court , holding both posts concurrently. In 1972, he stepped down as the Mufti. He wrote many books, such as Kamus Istilah Islamiah Sanusi , Taman Mu minin and Mengenal Islam dan Hubungannya Dengan Sains & Teknologi . Death He passed away peacefully on Sunday, 8 October 1995 at the age of 84, leaving behind six sons and two daughters. He was best known for his role of Maulvi Sahib in Pakistan Television Corporation PTV s production of Taleem i Balighan . Mahmood Ali began his career with the All India Radio in 1945. He migrated to Pakistan after Partition of India partition , arriving in Lahore in 1947. He soon moved to Karachi and joined Radio Pakistan , where he was employed as a copyist. He became a part of Radio Pakistan during independence, where he was associated with numerous plays. His show Hamid Mian Key Haan , was very popular. He was worked for Radio Pakistan, more than fifty years. Ali started his acting career from Khawaja Moinuddin s Theater . He was performed in various stage plays, but it was his roles that left an indelible impression on viewers. Aside from Taleem i Balighan which was latterly telecast from PTV , in which he acted with other veterans such as Qazi Wajid and the late Subhani ba Yunus , Mahmood Ali performed many memorable roles. Other notable plays of Ali include Mirza Ghalib Bunder Road Pe , Karwan e Kashmir and Lal Qilla Se Lalu Khait Tak . In 1965, Ali was joined Pakistan Television Corporation Pakistan television . His first television play was Rastay . Ali s noted television plays are Khuda Ki Basti novel Khuda Ki Basti , Zair, Zabar, Paish , Laila Majnoon , Shahzori , Aanch , Ana , and Dast Ashana .
