Originally constructed on the eastern side at the Sydney Cricket Ground , admission to the stand costs a shilling also known as a bob , which gave the stand its name. It is a single level grandstand with about 20 rows of seating with an iron roof painted green , and a clock tower. Redevelopment at the SCG in the 1980s saw the stand taken down, to be replaced by the Bill O Reilly Stand. The grandstand was then rebuilt in the northeast corner at North Sydney Oval.
