A Divisional Court , in relation to the High Court of Justice of England and Wales , means a court sitting with at least two judge s. ref Section 66, Senior Courts Act 1981 . ref Matters heard by a Divisional Court include some criminal cases in the High Court including appeals from Magistrates Court England and Wales magistrates court s and in extradition proceedings as well as certain judicial review cases. There are also Divisional Courts of the High Court of Justice Family Division Family and Chancery Division s to deal with certain cases. A Heritage Coast is a strip of UK coast line designated by the Countryside Agency in England and the Countryside Council for Wales as having notable natural beauty or scientific significance. Designated coastline 1,027  km of the English UK coastline coastline and 500  km of the Welsh coastline, in both cases approximately one third of the total length, have been designated as Heritage Coast. The goal is to conserve their natural beauty and improve accessibility for visitors. Unlike National parks of England and Wales National Parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty in England and Wales Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty AONBs , the Heritage Coast designation is non statutory, and designations can only be made with the agreement of local authorities and land owners. However, the majority of Heritage Coast falls within National Parks, AONBs and the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site . South Wales , Devon and Cornwall have more heritage coastline per mile than other regions, including over 50 of the coast between Cardiff and St Davids , about 55 &ndash 60 of Cornwall s coast, and around 60 65 of Devon s coast. This contrasts with the coasts of North West England or the south east stretch of the English Channel which have only very sporadic stretches. Refimprove date April 2007 A bastard also called whoreson in the law of England and Wales is a person whose parents, at the time of his her birth, were not married to each other. Unlike in many other systems of law, there was previously no possibility of post factum legitimisation of a bastard. This situation was changed in 1926. Etymology The word bastard is from the Old French bastard, which in turn was from medieval Latin bastardus. According to some sources, bastardus may have come from the word bastum, which means packsaddle, ref name wdbastard cite web url http oxforddictionaries.com definition bastard title Bastard work World Dictionary publisher Oxford University Press accessdate 12 September 2011 ref the connection possibly being the idea that a bastard might be the child of a passing traveller who would have a packsaddle . In support of this is the Old French phrase fils de bast loosely meaning child of the saddle, which had a similar meaning. ref name wdbastard Common law origin Bastardy was not a status, like villeinage , but the fact of being a bastard had a number of legal effects on an individual. One exception to the general principle that a bastard could not inherit occurred when the eldest son who would otherwise be heir was born a bastard but the second son was born after the parents were married.
