  1. Christoph Ignaz Abele

    Christoph Ignaz Abele, von und zu Lilienberg 1628, Vienna 12 October 1685, ibid . , son of a Swabia n family, was an Austria n jurist. Biography First records of the Abele family first appear at the court of Maximilian I, Elector of Bavaria , where a member is listed in the court service. In 1547, the Abeles were awarded a nobility title and tenures in Lower Austria and Steiermark . The good reputation of the Abeles is linked primarily to Christoph Ignaz, who earned a name and a career in the higher civil service of Austria at the same time as Johann Hocher, Freiherr von Hohenkr n . Abele was awarded the title von und zu Lilienberg, Erbherr auf Hacking on 5 November 1655 by Leopold I, Holy Roman Emperor . He became imperial secretary and was in charge of important transactions. In 1667 1670, he took a principal place in the fact finding committee at the process against the Hungarian magnate conspiracy . In 1674 he was incorporated in the old nobility. Abele kept a large influence on the Privy Conferencial or Ministerial Council. The fall of Philipp Ludwig Sinzendorf procured him the directorate of the Court Chamber ?Reichskammergericht in 1679. At the same time, he was awarded the title of baron , two years later he acquired magnate? lord ship, as well as the post of Privy Council and President of the Court Chamber. In 1683, Abele resigned the latter office but remained member of the Council. In 1684 he earned the title of count and acts as commissar at the Hungarian royal court, but dies soon thereafter.     Mer hahn en neue Oberkeet We have a new governor , BWV 212, is a secular Bach cantata cantata by Johann Sebastian Bach . It was entitled the Cantate burlesque Burlesque genre burlesque cantata by Bach himself, but is now popularly known as the Peasant Cantata . It is the latest definitely dated Bach cantata. History This cantata s libretto was written by Christian Friedrich Henrici, known as Picander , and was written for performance on 30 August 1742. On that day the Erbherr, Lehnherr and Gerichtsherr Carl Heinrich von Dieskau, Saxon Crown Princely Kammerherr to the Rittergut Kleinzschocher near Leipzig , celebrated his thirty sixth birthday with a huge fireworks display and, as was customary, took homage from the peasants on the same occasion. It is thought that Picander asked Bach to set his poetry to music. Themes An unnamed farmer laughs with the farmer s wife Mieke about the tax collector s machinations while praising the economy of Dieskau s wife, ending by especially cheering on Dieskau. In places it uses the dialect of Upper Saxony Guschel for mouth, Dahlen for love games, Ranzen for belly and Neu Schock for a 60 Groschen piece.
