It connects the New towns of Hong Kong new town of Tai Po New Town Tai Po and San Tin Highway , passing through Sheung Shui and Fanling on its way. The three lane Controlled access highway expressway was constructed between 1983 and 1987. The road succeeds the Tolo Highway at the Lam Kam Interchange where it also interchanges with Tai Wo West Service Road , Lam Kam Road and Tai Po Road . The two storey home is located in a wooded lot within the Hong Kong Golf Club off Castle Peak Road Kwu Tung. A private access road leads to a cul de sac. It has served as a summer residence for the then Governor of Hong Kong since 1934 after the Mountain Lodge was abandoned as the alternate residence. It remained as an official government residence after the handover in 1997 and is the alternate residence of the Chief Executive of Hong Kong . The lodge is occupied mainly on weekends and holidays by the CE. Minor renovations were made in 2005. A helicopter pad WB16 is located on the lawn of the home and allows the CE to travel to the lodge from the main Hong Kong residence.     Kam Tsin , also known as Kam Tsin Tsuen is a village and an area in the North District, Hong Kong North District , in the New Territories in Hong Kong . It located south of Yin Kong , west of Kwu Tung , Ngau Tei and Hang Tau . Its south and east is surrounded by Hong Kong Golf Club . The Fanling Bungalow and Fanling Lodge is on its southwest. Features The village contains two temples which are used by the native Hau clan to worship their ancestors. One of these temples is open to visitors at weekends and on public holidays. The Sha Tau Kok Railway Chinese language Chinese was a RailGauge 24 gauge narrow gauge railway running from Fanling to Sha Tau Kok in the northern New Territories of Hong Kong . It ceased operation on April 1, 1928 when the Sha Tau Kok Road , a highway parallel to the railway, came into service. Some of the old rails and a tunnel can still be traced through the dense foliage of the countryside today. After the closure of the line, two locomotive s used on the railway were sold to the Philippines , where they were used in sugar mills. Subsequently they were repurchased and brought back to Hong Kong, where one is now on display in the Hong Kong Railway Museum .   1. Wo Hop Shek

    Wo Hop Shek zh c p H h sh is an area in the south of Fanling , Hong Kong . It consists of villages and recently developed housing estates. The area is famous for its large public cemetery, Wo Hop Shek Public Cemetery , on the nearby hillside. Every year, during the Ching Ming Festival and Chung Yeung Festival , many people come to visit their ancestors. Railway In 1950 1951, a Wo Hop Shek Branch zh in fact only a long siding of Kowloon Canton Railway was built to transport bodies of civilian s killed in World War II , and later to cater the visitor in Ching Ming Festival and Chung Yeung Festival . The whole single track rail single track branch was built upon an Embankment transportation embankment . It branched off south of Fanling KCR Fanling Station, at the start of the curve. The station at Wo Hop Shek was the most modern of all stations in Hong Kong at the time it was built, and instead of being a brick built structure as other stations were it was of cement and steel. Special vehicles were built to carry the bodies. The branch was abandoned after the railway was electrified in 1983. No traces can be found now of the line, but the site of the station survives as a roundabout. The start of the branch is now marked by a red gate visible on the Fanling side of the Jockey Club Road bridge , which used to be a level crossing. Gallant Garden In 1996, Gallant Garden or Ho Yuen , in Cantonese , in Wo Hop Shek Public Cemetery , was established for the civil servant s who die of injuries during their duty. In 2000, permanent earth burial was extended to both civil servants and non civil servants who died of exceptional bravery on duty. There is also a big Buddhist Taoist monastery built near the cemetery. There are many shops in the villages which makes stone graves.
