Other common names associated with food distribution centers are food banks and food distribution programs. FACES FACES, or Farmville Area Emergency Service, was started in 1981, is located in Farmville, Virginia and is a perfect example of a well functioning food distribution center. Currently FACES distributes food weekly to approximately 500 individuals and families who are considered eligible and in need of FACES services.
