    The Fasti vindobonenses are two sets of late antique Roman consul consular annals fasti , found in the Vindobona Vindobonensis manuscript MS. 3416, together with the Chronography of 354 . They were previously known as Anonymus Cuspininani , since they were published by Johannes Cuspinianus in 1553, and are part of the Consularia Italica collection. The first collection is entitled Fasti vindobonenses priores and covers the periods 44 BC &ndash AD 403 and 455 &ndash 493. The second is called Fasti vindobonenses posteriores and covers the period 44 BC &ndash AD 397, 439 &ndash 455 and 495 &ndash 539. Later additions were included for years 390 &ndash 473 in a copy conserved in the Sangallensis MS. 878.     about the Welsh saint Saint Gelert the 6th century Byzantine minister Celer magister officiorum According to Ovid s description of the founding of Rome by Romulus Fasti IV.809 ff. , Celer was the name of an otherwise unknown foreman, appointed by Romulus to oversee the building of Rome s first walls. Ovid, perhaps in part to exonerate the emperor Augustus great forefather, relates how it was actually this foreman Celer not Romulus who struck down Remus for jumping over the wall in its early stages in an act of mockery towards his brother s attempt to fortify the new city. Romulus is portrayed by the poet as putting on a brave front at Remus funeral, stoically suppressing his tears and grief in order to be a role model for his people.
