Fatty streak , though composed of macrophage white blood cells, not fat, is the term generally given to the earliest stages of atheroma , as viewed at autopsy , looking at the inner surface of artery arteries , without magnification. The fatty streak is the first grossly visible lesion in the development of atherosclerosis . It appears as an irregular off white to yellow white discoloration near the luminal surface of the artery. The streaks are not actually fat but small collections of monocyte derived macrophage s located beneath the inner, endothelium endothelial layer of artery arteries . The fatty streak mainly consists of foamy appearing macrophage cells, sometimes with some additional T lymphocyte s, aggregated platelet s, localized smooth muscle cells, etc. Fatty streaks may be precursor of atheromas and not all fatty streaks are destined to become fibrous Atheromatous plaque plaques . The macrophage cells, under a microscope, have a foamy like appearance because of large collections of membrane bound vesicles within their cytoplasm. Since cholesterol within cells resides primarily within the cell membranes, the large accumulation of membranes results in an elevated local content of membrane bound cholesterol and other fats. En mass the foamy macrophages usually have an off white to yellow white color and were named because they were thought to look like streaks of fat against the otherwise quite red pink muscular tissue background forming the wall of artery arteries . Fatty Fudge is a cartoon character in The Beano Comic . As his name suggests he is a big fat boy with an addiction to unhealthy food and in particular confectionary . He is very greedy and would do anything for food, which Minnie often uses to her advantage. He is largely confined to supporting roles in the Minnie the Minx cartoon strip in which, alongside Minnie s other rival Soppy Susan he is usually the butt of Minnie s pranks, although his services are occasionally engaged by Minnie for the furtherence of her schemes. His real name is Frederick. From 1989 1991, however, Fatty enjoyed his own spin off strip devoted entirely to the parodying of famous films. Examples of this include Ghost Burgers , Toast Busters , You only eat Rice , Sleeping Fatty , Frankfurterstein , Fishfinger , Live and let diet , The Incredible bulk , 2001 a space obesity , and 20,000 Leeks under the Sea . He also appeared in a parody of the British quiz show Bob s Full House , called Slob s Full Tum , where contestants had to eat as much as they could and whoever got a full tum in the quickest time was the winner. The game show was hosted by Slob Monkhouse , again a parody of the original host name Bob Monkhouse . These strips were all drawn by Jim Petrie , the Minnie the Minx artist at that time. The strip reappeared in Issue 3616, dated 17th December 2011, it was so former artist Jim Petrie could get a proper retirement. The comic asked for ideas for the strip on Beano.com. In the end, the winning idea was The Tummy Returns , suggested by William Clyde, this appeared in the comic. The Fatty Container or simply the Fatty is a vinyl record storage box designed by the Finnish designer Harri Koskinen in 1998 for company Schmidinger as part of their M bel Kollektion range. Models There are two models, with catalogue numbers 7100 and 7150 from the M bel Kollektion. Both are nearly identical in finish. They are made of quality birch plywood finished with a light clear lacquer, with rounded corners formed by bending the plywood. This bending is enabled by the inside having a further two pieces of plywood which allow the bending of the rounded sides, as well as also the flush fitting of the flat sides and lid. Two strong metal hinges are on either side of the back end of the lid, the front end of which has a catch for keeping it closed, with a loop for using a padlock if desired by the user.
