Plot The story begins when John resigns his job as a sailor and goes back home to his grandmother. After seeing all of the burglars in town, he takes it upon himself to rid the town of all evildoers. After he s become the word around town, he lets everyone in the town know that he has no fear. His cousin, in jealousy of John s newfound fame decides to disprove this statement, by showing up at the local graveyard dressed as a ghost. John, annoyed with the ghost s presence, accidentally kills his cousin. Realizing his mistake, he reports it, only to be arrested and sentenced to prison. However, he easily escapes the prison guards and goes about his ways. He ends up soon after in the countryside, to find a servant being beaten by his master. After showing the boss the error of his ways, the boss recognizes his goodheartedness and sends him on a quest to destroy a shape shifting evil water demon called Kludde,with the servant .... Fearless Freaks is a 2005 Documentary film documentary , directed by Bradley Beesley and edited by JoLynn Garnes , chronicling the alternative rock band The Flaming Lips . While the film features cameo appearance s by such actors as Adam Goldberg and Christina Ricci , most of the screen time is taken up by interviews with the band members and their families interspersed with clips of the band s recording sessions and live performances. Wayne Coyne s mother and several of his brothers are prominently featured, as are members of Steven Drozd s family, while Michael Ivins family receives comparatively little screen time. The film traces the band from their roots as a local psychedelic punk rock punk band to an internationally renowned band that draws celebrities to its performances. Many of the interviews were filmed in the band s hometown of Oklahoma City , although Wayne Coyne is the only band member still living there. In addition to the development of the Lips music and performance, another theme running through the movie is the effect that drug s have had on the band and their families.
