It is a predominantly punk rock festival, though there are also a good number of indie rock, country, and metal acts. The Fest first took place in 1989 and has since attracted a large number of assholes throughout the years. Bands perform across at as many as 46 venues varying from small bars to large stadiums in the downtown Gainesville area.
