    Kingston on Spey is a small coastal village in Moray , Scotland . It is situated immediately north of Garmouth, Moray Garmouth at the western side of the mouth of the River Spey on the coast of the Moray Firth . Kingston was founded in 1784 and was named after Kingston upon Hull, in East Yorkshire. Kingston s past includes a large shipbuilding industry started in the 18th century. This utilised the enormous amount of timber from the local surrounding forests. In 1829, some of the village homes were lost in the great flood, the Muckle Spate 1829 Muckle Spate . Today s Kingston is a lovely quiet village to visit and live. It remains a preferred home for an abundance of Scottish wildlife. One can always observe the locals dolphins, salmon, otters, osprey, seals and the numerous birds and waterfowl who make this habitat their home here. Walkers also enjoy many of the different footpaths along the Lein, Burnside, the Browlands towards the village of Garmouth, the Spey Viaduct footpath or along the stone beaches of Kingston and Spey Bay. The distillery was sold in 2008 by the Glenmorangie Company Ltd to La Martiniquaise. History Glen Moray started life as a brewery run by Robert Thorne & Sons, and was converted to a distillery with 2 stills in 1897. Following a fire and extensive rebuilding program at their Aberlour Distillery , the company focused on production of Aberlour whisky, allowing the Glen Moray distillery to run down. It was closed in 1910. The distillery was purchased by the owners of the Glenmorangie Distillery, the MacDonald and Muir families at some time during the 1920s. The distillery received 2 additional stills in 1958 and at present has an annual capacity of around 2,000,000 litres. The company now belongs to La Martiniquaise which uses its production primarily for blended whisky. Awards and Accolades Glen Moray offerings have performed modestly at international Spirit ratings competitions. Moray Bridge , originally christened The Middle arm Swing Bridge in October 1957, is a low level one way swing bridge in Richmond, British Columbia , Canada . It connects Grant McConachie Way on Sea Island, British Columbia Sea Island , where the Vancouver International Airport is located, with Sea Island Way on Lulu Island . The bridge is also called the Moray Channel Bridge , and the swing section is 58 metres long. The bridge handles eastbound traffic coming from Sea Island. It was a two way bridge until the completion of the nearby Sea Island Bridge , which handles traffic towards Sea Island. The bridge passes over the Middle Arm of the Fraser River in a section referred to as the Moray Channel and was previously frequently called the Middle Arm Bridge , a name now used by a Skytrain bridge.
