Onesource date November 2007 Institute for Nobles lang ru was a form of boys only boarding school in the Russian Empire that provided secondary education in the 19th century. It was similar to a high school or gymnasium school gymnasium but was only open to boys from Nobility noble families , and students were usually required to live on the premises. Tuition and accommodation in these institutions were free, and they were considered as a form of support to the impoverished noble families for their service to the Russian crown. The firstInstitute for Nobles was opened in Moscow in 1833. In 1838 the Second Gymnasium school Gymnasium of Vilna in what is now Lithuania was reorganized into an Institute for Nobles . In 1843 the Penza Institute for Nobles was opened, followed by the Nizhny Novgorod Institute for Nobles that was opened in 1844. There was also an Institute for Nobles in Warsaw . Most of these Institutes for Nobles were closed in 1863. Only the Alexander II of Russia Alexander II Nizhny Novgorod Institute for Nobles survived into the twentieth century, but it was closed after the October Revolution . Network First is a wide ranging documentary strand broadcast on ITV in the U.K. from January 1994 to December 1997, and was a part replacement for First Tuesday documentary strand Unlike other documentary series on ITV such as World in Action , Network First was not centred on current affairs or politics, but broadcast a range of one off programmes covering various subjects such as biography, history, and science. Programmes were usually transmitted in the 10.40 p.m. slot after ITV News at Ten News at Ten , each usually running for an hour. The strand was not owned by any one ITV franchise, and individual programmes were contributed by the various ITV companies. As a strand, Network First never became a household name unlike the likes of World in Action or This Week possibly because of its diverse subject matter. The series appears to have been dropped quietly by ITV in the lead up to the high profile axing of both World in Action in late 1998 and News at Ten in March 1999.
