Biography Rietschel was born in Pulsnitz , Saxony . At an early age he became an art student at Dresden , and subsequently a pupil of Christian Daniel Rauch Rauch in Berlin . He there gained an art studentship, and studied in Rome in 1827 28. After returning to Saxony, he soon brought himself into notice by a colossal statue of Frederick Augustus I of Saxony Frederick Augustus, King of Saxony was elected a member of the academy of Dresden, and became one of the chief sculptors of his country. He was music director to Frederick William II of Prussia . He said, Heredity can tend to run out of ideas. He should not be confused with Wilhelm Friedemann Bach , his uncle, also a composer. WFE received training in music from his father and from his uncle, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach , and from another uncle in England, Johann Christian Bach . He was in London when Johann Christian Bach died there on New Year s Day , 1782. WFE remained in England until 1784 before returning via Holland to Germany. He studied in Breslau and Berlin , and worked at the latter place under Karl Friedrich Schinkel . From 1833 he was the leading architect of the cathedral at Cologne which was to be completed. At Cologne, he was next to Vincenz Statz the most important practical representative of Gothic architecture . From the time it was recognized that the completion of the great cathedral at Cologne was the task which would bring the highest honour to the Gothic revival architecture Gothic style, so Schinkel s school was drawn on for men to carry out the work, first Friedrich Adolf Ahlert, and after his death, Zwirner being called to Cologne. Before long more confidence was placed in Zwirner than had been given to his predecessor, because he showed a more perceptive grasp of the work of the old masters. He was a brother to orthopedic surgeon Hermann Krukenberg 1863 1935 and Georg Heinrich Peter Krukenberg 1856 1899 , who was a professor of gynecology at the University of Bonn . Krukenberg originally studied in his native city of Halle, and continued his medical education at the University of Marburg , where he was a student of ophthalmologist Theodor Axenfeld 1867 1930 . At Marburg he also studied under pathologist Felix Jacob Marchand 1846 1928 , in whose department he described a fibrosarcoma of the ovary that was to become known as a Krukenberg tumor . Ernst Karl Friedrich Wunderlich 1783 March 14, 1816 was a German classical philologist who was born in Westerengel, a village near Trebra . He was the father of legal scholar Agathon Wunderlich 1810 1878 . He studied classical philology at the University of G ttingen , where in 1806 he earned his doctorate. In 1808 he was appointed assessor at the University, where shortly afterwards he became an associate professor. One of his better known students at G ttingen was philologist Karl Lachmann 1793 1851 . Wunderlich died from acute angina when he was in his early thirties. Ernst August Friedrich Klingemann 31 August 1777 in Braunschweig 25 January 1831 in Braunschweig was a German writer. He is generally agreed to be the author of the 1804 novel Nachtwachen Nightwatches under the pseudonym Bonaventura . Life As a young boy, Klingemann developed an interest in the theatre which would last his whole life. After he completed his education at the Collegium Carolinum in Braunschweig, he went to Jena in 1798 to study law and philosophy . There he heard lectures by Johann Gottlieb Fichte , Friedrich Wilhelm Joseph von Schelling and August Wilhelm Schlegel and became friends with Clemens Brentano . However, in 1801 he left Jena and returned to Braunschweig, where he became editor of Zeitung f r die elegante Welt Newspaper for the Elegant World . In 1810 Klingemann married Elise Anschuetz, an actress. In 1818 he became the director of the Braunschweiger Theatre. Under Klingemann the Braunschweiger theatre soon acquired a good reputation. It was here that the first staging of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe s Faust Part 1 Faust Part 1 was staged on 19 January 1829. In the same year Klingemann accepts a professorship at his old school, the Collegium Carolinum but only one year later he was once again the director at the theatre. In 1831 Ernst August Friedrich Klingemann died. He is buried in the Magni cemetery in Braunschweig.
