Due to its dedicated nature, the back sidebus can be optimized for communication with cache, thus eliminating protocol overheads and additional signals that are required on a general purpose bus. The Runway bus is a frontsidebus developed by Hewlett Packard for use by its PA RISC microprocessor family. The Runway bus is a 64 bit wide, split transaction, time division multiplexing time multiplexed address and data bus running at 120 MHz. This scheme was chosen by HP as they determined that a bus using separate address and data wires would have only delivered 20 more bandwidth for a 50 increase in pin count, which would have made microprocessors using the bus more expensive. The Runway bus was introduced with the release of the PA 7200 and was subsequently used by the PA 8000 , PA 8200 , PA 8500 , PA 8600 and PA 8700 microprocessors. Early implementations of the bus used in the PA 7200, PA 8000 and PA 8200 had a theoretical bandwidth of 960 MB s. Beginning with the PA 8500, the Runway bus was revised to transmit on both rising and falling edges of a 125 MHz clock signal, which increased its theoretical bandwidth to 2 GB s. The Runway bus was succeeded with the introduction of the PA 8800, which used the Itanium 2 bus. The purpose of the bus turnout is avoid blocking a lane of traffic and to improve passenger safety during boarding and deboarding. Bus turnouts may also be the location of minor bus terminus bus termini , and may be extended to accommodate bus stand s. Bus turnouts are most often lacking in cities with little or no usable easement right of way for their construction. In younger cities, particularly in the United States , where there is sufficient right of way bus turnouts are installed on roads either as part of upgrading the road or installed by requirement of the local government during development of the lot. A disadvantage of bus turnouts is that buses must merge back into the flow of traffic after using the bus stop, which can cause delay to the bus. Although many jurisdictions worldwide have instituted yield to bus laws, motorist compliance with these laws is often non existent. In some jurisdictions, bus turnouts can be used as an emergency turnout for the general public to prevent blocking a lane of traffic. However, should a bus attempt to enter the turnout often those using the turnout must make way. About the judicial position in Vermont the American football official Official American football Side judge is a judicial position apparently unique to the state of Vermont . Side judges sit with the judge in Superior court United States Superior and Family court. There is a Superior and a Family Court located in each of Vermont s 14 county at their shire town or county seat. The Superior Court handles only civil cases and violations of traffic laws and municipal ordinances they do not handle misdemeanors or felonies. There are normally two side judges, but the court may proceed with only one side judge or none. In theory the side judges, who are generally not attorneys, have input only on matters of fact, with legal decisions left to the judge, but the vote of a side judge has the same weight as that of the judge, so two side judges can outvote the judge. If there is only one side judge and the side judge and the judge disagree on a matter of fact, a mistrial law mistrial is declared. Side judges who undergo some training may also sit alone in small claims, uncontested divorces, traffic offenses, and violations of municipal ordinances. Side judges also have certain administrative duties. They appoint the County Clerk, Treasurer and Auditor, County Road commissioners, and Notaries Public, manage the county courthouse, sheriff s office and other property, and prepare the county budget. As a result, side judges receive two types of compensation a salary for their administrative duties, paid by the county, and a per diem for their judicial duties, paid by the state. The position of side judge was established in the Vermont constitution of 1791. While full judges are appointed by the Governor, side judges are elected. Side judges are also referred to as assistant judges .
